I swear I often see him making comments that are going to irk Spurs fans if anything. Him saying Kane is feeling like Eriksen and should go to United. I've said it before but for me it's the fact that everyone is saying he should go to United that's annoying me more than them just saying he should go.

He was right about one thing though that's for sure and that's that he still sees us going to United with better players but still playing with fear.

That's one thing I hope Mourinho eventually fixes. I still think we need more 'winners' in the side though, players who demand a certain level on the pitch. You watch this team and there's no one to galvanise the side, no one to give players a bullocking etc. Funnily enough the only player I see really doing this on the pitch is Eric Dier but unfortunately the footballing side to his game is lacking.

Couldn't agree more - we do need more winners on the pitch and your comment deserves a 'winner' rating.

I remember him being asked about it at the time and he said something to the effect of "I expend my energy when it is useful to the team. There's little use to the team of me running around like a headless chicken for 90 minutes."

I hate the way he left us but he was the Vertonghen of forwards. Rolls-Royce of a player. Was it a Bolton game where we were down to 10 men and he bossed it as a lone forward when lone forwards weren't really a thing?

Yeah, Bolton. Keane got sent off for handball I think leading to a penalty for them. Think we won 4-1 or 4-2.

Amazing number 9 performance.

He was one of the silkiest players we've ever had and him talking through this goal just shows how ridiculously intelligent he was on the pitch.

I remember a cheeky little side./back heel from a low corner, straight into the net. Such a delicate touch but awesome to watch. he was head and shoulders better than anyone else on the pitch at the time. Wish I could remember who it was against.
