Not sure if any of them are genuine contenders for the best ever at the Lane, but I think we need to take a step back and appreciate how many absolute worldies that a certain Mr Defoe scored for us...











He scored two brilliant goals in a pre-season friendly against Porto - Edgar Davids' first game at the Lane. Sun was shining and it was a fantastic day out. Can't seem to find a video of them though, does anyone remember what I'm talking about?

Defoes against Arsenal was great actually. Just a shame we lost

as no-one has put it on yet, Hoddle v Forest, the ball never touches the ground after our GK kicks it...nice

It's the one I'd go for just for being there at the time. Traveling up and back from Cornwall and trying to explain to my old man what I had witnessed. Next day it was on the Big Match and won their goal of the season. I think he came third as well with one over Coventry.
