Three changes to the team that started against Everton on Monday. TEAM FORM: ------- Bournemouth LLLLL ----- Spurs LDWLW
--- (All Competitions)

Bournemouth (BM) have lost seven of their nine Premier League (PL) meetings with us (W1 D1), though that one victory did come in this exact fixture last season courtesy of Nathan Ake's 90th minute and we playing with 9 players (Foyth and Son red cards). They have lost seven of their last eight PL games, including each of their last five in a row. They have shipped 21 goals in these eight games, netting just seven.

BM have conceded 59 PL goals this season and could become the first side to concede at least 60 in five consecutive campaigns in the competition. They have lost 20 PL games this season, more than they have in any of their five campaigns in the comptetition. Seven of these defeats have been at home, the Cherries only losing more at the Vitality Stadium in their debut Season in the competition in 205-16 (9).

Bournemouth's Josh King - who scored and assisted for BM last time out against Man Utd - is looking to score consecutive PL games for the first time since January 2019.

We won 3-2 in the reverse fixture, conceding as many goals in that game as we had in our previous seven combined in the PL against Bournemouth. We have picked up just 15 points from our 16 PL games on the road this season (W3 D6 L7), with only Aston Villa (0) keeping fewer clean sheets on the road than us (1). Having been unbeaten in our first twelve PL games played on Thursdays (W7 D5), we lost our last such match, going down 1-3 against Sheffield United last week.

Jose Mourinho has never lost a PL away game against a side starting the day in the relegation zone, with him winning 18 and drawing 6 of his 24 such matches. Harry Kane has scored 7 goals in 7 PL games against BM, though 6 of these came in first three appearances against them.

This is a urgent call for Dr Tottenham

Do we give up a Europa League place to try and get West Ham relegated?

I won't say I'm for throwing a game under any circumstance but I wouldn't be sad if a loss here helped Bournemouth stay up at West Ham's expense.

But I still want us to be in Europe.

Aah, the conundrum.

Bournemouth are a poor side and their time is up, so it's safe to predict a Bournemouth win.

I think we should all expect a Bournemouth win and then go apeshit when it happens. We could give the players a proper coating and instead of waiting until after the game, perhaps, just for a change, we should start it up after around five minutes of the game. We should each have a scapegoat in mind pre-match for this to work.

The manager should also cop for a cup of cold piss. We could do this right away, during the build up, the match itself, afterwards and all through the following few days. Also, If we could see our way clear to shouting "pull!"every second page we could send some knees flying clay pigeon style for effect.

I think all that would make for a refreshing change. What say thee chaps?

I've supported spurs for nearly 30 years now, and if there's one thing I know it's that we don't take good opportunities.

This is a good opportunity. I can see us soiling our footballing pants.

No.
I think the only time I have ever wanted to lose was whilst in the stands at Old Trafford last day of the season, when if they beat us Arsenal wouldn't win League, we were celebrating United goals against us, and wasn't overly impressed when we went 1 up.
If West Ham stay up, and very likely they will. it will be because they deserve to, even if Bournemouth beat us, they would be behind West Ham, as would Villa and Watford, and can't see where they would get enough points to overtake them.

Also to be honest, don't want West Ham to go down, think the league is better with them in it than not. Would much rather we lose smaller provincial teams such as Norwich and Bournemouth and get Leeds, West Brom and Forest up (although Brentford would make a nice change)

No game is a given with the way we're playing at the moment. I'm just intrigued to see if we can actually click in any way going forward. Certainly not expecting a win here. Won't surprise me if it goes either way.

The most I feel I can hope for from now until the end of the season is that Jose figures out a way to have us any bit fluid going forward.

If we're being tactical and we're trying to manage these run of games properly with the NLD on Sunday in mind we should be trying to get as many quick goals in as possible. Many teams have demonstrated recently that Bournemouth are capable of shipping in a lot of goals.

The onus is on our forwards and attacking players to use a bit of common sense and play as a team if we get into positions in the final third which means passing it to a teammate in a better position in space to score instead of being selfish and trying to score from more difficult positions or selecting the wrong option of passing to a player marked by 3 instead of passing to a player in a wide open space with no-one marking them properly.

If we do that we get a chance to put the game to bed quickly and make full use of the 5 sub rule thus giving us the chance to rest the players we really need for what will be a tough and close fought NLD. I'm hoping that's what we have in mind.

Win. If they get relegated we can offer Ake and Wilson or King a place back in the Prem. Forget West Ham!

Anything less than a win here would be a total calamity given Bournemouth's recent form.

So I fully expect Bournemouth to win this one. :ROFLMAO:

Less travelling if Bournemouth go down and West Ham stay up.
Not an inconsiderable factor.
Brentford or Fulham coming up could be crucial too on this matter.

Never under-estimate travel fatigue in the modern era.
One of the reasons I support splitting the Premiership into North and South divisions.
Think of the cost savings

European football? Don't get me started. But it's a problem for another year.
