Going to be interesting to see if anyone stumps up the cash that Sporting are rumoured to be wanting.

Can't see it myself to be honest.

A lot of the talk was around getting both Lo Celso and Fernandes, to cover Eriksen possibly going. However, Sporting were allegedly asking for a huge fee, £70m, with the majority of it all upfront, not the sort of deal anyone was going to touch.
Then Dybala became and option, and we tried that route instead. Dybala was allegedly coming cheaper than Sporting we’re expecting us to pay up for Fernandes. Madness.
Seemed like we did want Fernandes, but Sporting completely priced him out of any move.

I'd be surprised if Sporting maintain that price tag for him. The talk was that they thought this to be an opportune moment for them to cash in on him, after him having such a good season and to try and capitalise on that but if no one is biting maybe they'd reassess. If Eriksen goes I wouldn't be surprised to see us try and do a deal for him in January and for much less than £70m.

He means that if Erikson leaves then we might go back in for Fernandez. Personally I would prefer Dyabala as we have already got N'Dombele and Le Celso plus Ryan Ressegnon and Jack Clark

He has great stats for sure but 70m? Thats crazy. 50m tops and even then id be slightly concerned that he might not transition. Tanguy and lo celso just seem a cut above him from the ol tit bits ive seen

My guess was all of the BF ITK was before Betis blinked, and, as other ITK have stated, once Betis blinked then we never gave Bruno another look

I don't think Bruno and Lo Celso are that similar I thought we would be after both. Bruno more similar to Dybala in my view who we still wanted. Thought this failed due to Sporting wanting too much money up front.

GLC was PRIORITY! A lot of gamesmanship goes on. Had we signed BF, we would not of signed GLC. Had CE decided to go to yanited (let’s say), we would of bought in BF also.

What this did was force (reluctantly) Betis’ hands, as GLC desperately didn’t want to miss out in this move.

Makes sense. Although an element of risk seeing Eriksen can leave in the next couple of weeks. Saying that we have more depth now and will need to deal with it if he does.
