This ship has sailed. Buying Bergwijn suggests a move to a 433 with quick wide forwards and Mourinho has indicated a preference for physical players. GLC and Tanguy will be our creative outlets so I can’t see another creative in this squad
Yes - can we please close this thread as he's not coming to us. There's no sense in torturing ourselves.

I agree to an extent but BF absolutely is physical. He's not massive like Sissoko, but he gets stuck in like GLC, and has a fabulous workrate.
I don’t disagree about his work rate or willingness to get physical- I just can’t see three creatives in a Mourinho team

Agree with this to a degree, but what happens when one or both of those are injured or need rotating. We will end up in a similar position as we were over the last few years when Eriksen was either not in the team or out of form, and we were aimless. Gedson perhaps ... Lamela sure. But I'm not certain Erik is the long-term answer there for reasons stated here repeatedly. I think there is certainly room for a true Lo Celso alternative. Not necessarily this chap, but someone.

United can't afford not to sign him, paradoxically.

Their midfield is absolute shit.
