I dug up a fairly new rumor from mid April. Benfica's italian player Bryan Cristiante being linked with a move and replacement for Dembele

I follow AC Milan a bit and he was touted to be the next Ambrosini but fell short and was sold off to Benfica and is now having a good season on loan at Atalanta. Even got himself two caps for Italy so he seems to be a fairly late bloomer of talent

Got good vision, passing and work rate. Likes to dribble. Strong

There was some ITK around him as well, I think it originated with Trix when England were playing Italy recently.

Never seen him play so can't really comment. Might be another budget option for CM though.

Not good enough for us in my opinion. Like with Gomes, maybe as a back up, but certainly not as a starter. Personaly I would look somewhere else.

If we lose Dembele we need a proper replacement, not somebody of 'back up' quality. We've already got Winks for that and probably Onomah as well. Cristante and Gomes aren't what we need IMO.

There was interest, and we have watched him quite a lot. He is rated very highly by at least one person of note at the club, who thinks he'd be even better suited to the Prem. How far that will go I'm not sure.

Adrien Rabiot has one year left on his contract and has stalled an signing a new deal at PSG. Little chance I know, but he’d be a superb acquisition and exactly what we need in central midfield.

We need more than one CM with Dembele leaving.

Totally agree mate. Rabiot would be an unreal signing, he has everything in his game.

Would much rather we went balls to the wall for Kovacic
Would much rather not wasting any time on him. He's not leaving no matter how much you want it. I think he would laugh at how many people here think we really have a chance.

He’d be the one I’d love for us to get in. We were close a couple of years ago so that might stand us in good stead should we speak to him again.

Problem with Rabiott is his Mum is his agent and she's a mentalist.

But our recent dealings with PSG should put us in good standing with the club at least. They need to sell due to FFP and their Neymar/Mbappe deals, and in Rabiot, they have saleable asset with only a year left on his contract.

While we keep saying they need to sell due to FFP they are in such a deep hole I doubt they can sell enough to avoid any injunction. I bet they just take the hit, get a transfer ban, appeal it to give themselves time to complete as many deals as possible, then ride it out for a window or two. They'll probably still sell some, like Rabiot, but I doubt it's going to be this deal window firesale some imagine. Any sale they'll want extreme maximum return on.

Surely one meeting with Poch sweet talking her is all that’s needed. She wouldn’t be able to resist. Shaven Poch not bearded Poch.

Having not long had sanctions imposed lifted, I thought the thinking was PSG would be unable to participate in European competition as opposed to fine, and or transfer embargo, if they didn't comply to FFP by selling €70 million player wise by end of June this year.

The french press often say this about her. However whenever I see fired quotes from her they always sound tough but also loving and fair.

She wants her son to play and progress and emphasises how much he loved football and needs playing time to develop.

That doesn’t mean she’s bots a mentalist but I have never seen any evidence of it.
