So Hamburg lost 5-1 at home on last day of season against mid table team with nothing to play for, when it transpired a point was all they needed.

So Bremen v. Heidelheim will be 2 legged play-off and Hamburg consigned to a third season outside the top division

@wirE called Hamburg Leeds but IMO they're even worse. They couldn't blame financials for going down, they certainly couldn't blame financials for not bouncing straight back up, and they're even worse at getting into position for success and blowing it spectacularly.

I'd say they're such a big club it's as if Arsenal had gone done (we live in hope) and consistently found new and exciting ways to mess up promotion. Losing 5-1 at home to a team in mid table nothing when a point would put you in a playoff is just unbelievable choke.
