Basically UEFA and the Spanish authorities have no clue on how to handle this. They still believe it’s the 1970’s/80’s and the English scum are there to be herded around an treated with disdain.

Keeping the fans separated on the way to the stadium...what a load of bollocks. There’ll be Tottenham and Liverpool drinking and partying with each other in the days leading up to and also on the day/night itself. I’m meeting up with at least 6 Liverpool fans I know for a session when there.

This isn’t Tottenham - Chelsea or Liverpool - United. All those in control seem to be doing is trying to cause grief if anything!

Thats Horse shit dude.
Every feckin final they have been in dippers fans have been shocking.
They was even stabbing each other for tickets in Istanbul.

They are not great fans loads of them are utter scuzz buckets and they will be there ticket less in droves trying to find anyway legal or not to get one.

Win it and we can add the UEFA Super Cup and World Club Championship before the decade closes.

There's no Club World Cup this year. The tournament as we knew it is effectively scrapped to be replaced by the new, 24-team version once every four years starting in 2021. Just by reaching the final we probably qualify for that - provisionally it will feature 12 European clubs, those being the Champions League finalists and Europa League winners from the preceding four seasons - but there's an ongoing threat of a boycott from European teams who aren't happy with the scheduling. It'll take place from the 17th of June to the 4th of July, so slap-bang in the middle of the summer break for us.

Leave off mate, every club has a small percentage of knobjockeys. Not even The Sun would conjure up such sensationalist stuff!

There's not an hour in the day that goes by when I don't think about this.

Still hasn't sunk in.

We say the players have three weeks 'rest' to look forward to, but I suspect a few of Poch's triple training sessions will feature before the final.....

One thing I hope we use this preparation time to work on is defending at set pieces.

defending set pieces must be one of the hardest things to practice. 1 you never know where the balls going to go to, at what pace, or which Liverpool player will appear once a kick has been taken. I very much doubt watching videos of the opponents will help, because I'm sure they won't all be the same. we know they will most probably at the odd corner over crowd the goal line and block the keeper.

the only thing they can do is make sure they know the man they are due to mark, and don't put Trippier on VVD

Security reasons due to where fans are supposedly. It doesn’t matter anyway, it’s hardly a big deal. The away changing rooms are crap most places we play at I’m sure

the home are very similar lay out as ours, and the away at the new stadium isn't as cosy. don't matter what the changing rooms are, it's what you preform on the pitch, lets hope Liverpool are laughing at us now, but crying after

You can get into good instincts. Blocking players (legally), how you mark both zonally and man to man, making sure those who are patrolling zones are attacking the ball etc and not waiting for it. There are far, far too many occasions, not just goals, where we don't do a good job. Whether it be a free header, our players not attacking the ball and getting beaten to it, markers losing their men or getting caught ball watching, consideration of the men lurking on the edge of the box/for the second ball...... Most of what we do isn't good enough, especially for what has been a 'big' team in recent times, and whilst you will never eliminate conceding from set pieces these type of goals have had a nasty habit of fucking us at key moments in the last few years. I'd hate for that to continue on the biggest stage of them all.
