The big names on paper are frightening but in reality:

Barcelona - take the front 3 out of the equation and they have been poor this season. They also seem incapable of keeping Messi, Suarez and Griezmann fit at the same time (barring the last couple of weeks).

PSG - like Barca their front 3 are scary but beyond that they’re poor. Despite being top of Ligue 1 they’ve been turned over 3 times this season and struggled in other games too.

Leipzig - well oiled team, excellent manager and some bloody good players. As a ‘team’ I fear these more than Barca and PSG.

Valencia - shit.

Juventus - the best of the lot, bloody good defence, solid midfield and zillions of creative and attacking players.

I know the glamour ties are great but just for once it would be nice to see us get a favourable draw.

No doubt it will be Barca or PSG.

Why do Liverpool always get the easiest draw.

They can still draw Dortmund, Real and Atletico...they would get past the first 2 but I think they'd struggle to get past Atletico, complete style clash.

I'd love Liverpool as soon as possible, so we can put last year's freak result behind us.

Would love to play and beat Leipzig more than all the others, hideous sugar ( drink ) daddy club. PSG would be nice though, act like they’re European royalty but we’ve got a manager older than their club. Another plaything

In previous years it was great to have big ties against the traditional titans of Europe, but now that we've essentially played all of the giant clubs I'd happily take the easiest draw possible if it gets us further in the competition. In our current state we can barely compete with the very best sides so I'd rather avoid them until later if we can.
Crazy to think that only a few years ago we were only dreaming of playing the big guns. Now we've played them all and actually had some very favourable results.

It doesn’t matter to me who we get in the KO round as I’m more confident now that Jose is at the club. He’s a serial winner and is experienced at how to handle different opposition. With each game, he is learning more about the individual players and will get it right soon (by that, I mean against top quality teams in the CL and other comps.)

Yeah, they are not European giants, just as City aren't.

Aside from missing a lot of sitters I thought Valencia played some terrific football in the matches I saw, Wouldn't be an easy game for sure.
