That game brought back a lot of bad memories, that was as toothless a performance as I can remember under Poch. We can pick individuals that were poor but I honestly couldn’t say one player put any real effort in. We just didn’t seem to care, every contentious decision from the ref was just accepted, every missed placed pass was just met with a thumbs up or never mind from a team mate. Even Poch was seen sitting with his feet up. I can accept losing but not like this. We desperately need some horrible nasty ****s of players, that aren’t afraid to give one of our own players a kick up the arse! We’re too fucking nice, even when Poch gets charged for having a go at a ref he somehow manages to look sweet and innocent. I love Poch and hope he is with us for a very long time but what I wouldn’t give for a Simeone type from time to time!

I’m not saying I want him out but we will not win anything with him as our manager

The teams he puts out are baffling, we have been scraping through games this season.

How would you even describe our football?

I disagree - If he gets proper backing i'm sure we can do something.

When at our best i think we play beautiful football, but i'm agreeing with you that we've had our fair share of luck in many of the matches recently. At the same time we've also showed character and grit to get the 3p - its not been given to us.

We have the best away record in the leauge (?), that has to count for something. We are overachieving

At this rate I fancy Dortmund to overturn the first leg deficit

It may turn out to be a blessing in disguise, if we can hold on to top four to have CL next season at the new stadium. We’re not going to win the CL with the way we are currently playing this season anyway.

Not sure. I think we pressed much more in the first two years. City and Arsenal games, pressed them off the pitch.
We pressed yes, but when we are pressed I think we struggle to deal with that now that Dembele is gone.

Good to see Watford, Bournemouth and palace turning up tonight FFS
That's probably what stings the most. That every one of those ****s gained tonight. We're the only team in the Top 6 to drop points tonight. What an embarrassment. I'm going to work from home tomorrow because so many of my colleagues are Arsenal and Chelsea supporters. I'll be getting it on Skype anyway, but at least I won't have to see them gloating.

Can anyone please explain this ridiculous fullback rotation Poch is so adamant on doing? Rose should start every high caliber game he is available. It shouldn't even be up for debate. Never understood this with Poch. You never see the likes of Alba, Marcelo (before he turned shit), Alex Sandro etc being rotated every bloody game. Seemingly the reason we lost Walker too.

You're "fed up of it all"?

Were you feeling that way 2 weeks ago when we 'd just thrashed Dortmund and were 5 points off top?

When in your Spurs supporting life have Spurs been better than we are right now?

I get it - we're all fucked off with the last two results but seriously do you really think "support" is just something for when your team always wins?

Is it not possible to express your dismay at these last two results without shitting on EVERYTHING this group and manager have done in the last three years given the resources we have?

Ffs - if you want Oil Slaver insta-success go support an Oil-slaver club.
We've been stuttering along for weeks mate. It ain't like we've been pasting teams To get where we are, bar the odd result. I was never counting my chickens with those 1 nils recently. We're 3rd now, but can you hand on heart say we'll finish there?

Chelsea were sitting back at that point, so it made sense. However a) we didn't change any of our approach to try and use him and b) when he came on it looked to me like Chelsea decided they'd better push up a little bit and show some urgency in getting the ball back and not invite us to hit the target man, and so we struggled when they raised the urgency again in those final minutes. More a reflection on our pitiful all round performance really.

It is baffling that we wouldn’t alter our style or set up once the big man comes on. Literally, the only thing he can do is head the ball, so you might as well fling balls into him or play off his knock downs. Instead, we just played it into his leaden filled boots or bypassed him. No idea what was going through Poch’s brain.

You're not wrong. We need an iron fist to go with the velvet glove. We don't have enough bastards in the squad.

It's fairly recent. This season, essentially. Yes, we've always been patient in the build up, that's the way we play under Poch. But what I can't fathom is where the incisiveness has gone. It's all well and good being patient in the buildup but there has to be a final objective as well, i.e. scoring goals.

Is it jadedness, tiredness, what? I hate to think it, but could it be complacency...?

Yeah I agree. It looks like we just pass for the sake of passing but now we're doing that in the final third even. I really don't know what it is. We've had patches in the last few seasons where things just don't seem to work but we've then started to click again so I'd pray for it to just be one of those moments. It's of course coming at the wrong time though.

I just couldn't point my finger on the reasoning, I really couldn't. All I hope is that we win on Saturday. The past few years we've gone to The Emirates as the in form and seemingly better team and they've risen and done us over, now it's time for us rise and do the same. Have to see a massive reaction from the lads.

Because Lloris should have come and cleared the ball into row Z in the first place

Why? Trippier had the ball. And when he did come get it, it was already sailing past him.

I don’t want to get into it on Lloris. Poor game from him, but that second goal was Trippier’s last action for the club in my book

I will always support this club and the players. I’ve supported us through a lot worse than this.

But I am entitled to be fed up. Every time we have the chance to achieve something, we bottle it. Every time we have an opportunity to invest in the team and take steps forward, we hesitate.

The squad is an absolute mess bar a handful of players. We need an overhaul of the squad. But we aren’t in any position to do it. The stadium will prove great in the long term and we may be able to compete financially in the future. But I’ve waited years and years for us to win something more than the league cup. And it seems further away now than at any point in the last 5 years when these players were at their peak and we were buzzing as a club.

And thrashing Dortmund? Yeah it was great. But we need to aspire to a whole lot more than that. We have lost to city, Liverpool, Arsenal, utd and Chelsea. Let’s start competing to win something rather than the celebrating the odd headline making result.

Can't blame Trippier, he looked at Hugo and saw he was miles away, and the replay shows Hugo not shouting anything
Absolute bollocks. First rule if back pass. Check where keeper is at all times and don't pass back towards the net.
Who else we going blame? The breakdown in Indo/Pakistani relations? Perhaps the congressional hearing that Trump is a racist conman an cheat. Maybe that was the fault? Maybe that a fake fat American is meeting with a fake fat Korean to make up some big fat fake news together...Maybe it was their fault? No?? Well then...

trippier, second goal. end off.

Lloris first goal, end off

Personally I think this result just highlights the lack of depth we have.

I know that Kane is back form injury now, but how much football has Winks, Sissoko, Son, Eriksen, etc played over the last few months.

We lack quality subs and replacements. And this is where our lack of funding over the last few seasons really comes back to bite us, as we just lack quality depth, and our players either don't get a rest, or just don't get dropped if in poor form.

Evidently not. I’d also like to think that we’d have moved beyond taking offence at the most innocuous of insults in 2019, but here we are.
I'm not 'offended' I'm just making a comment, but judging by your reply you seem to be someone who gets more offended at people being offended ?. I just think it's using lazy sexist stereotypes as well being completely inaccurate, considering all of the melting on here is done by supposedly grown men.

At least it has been obvious this season that Kovacic definitely wasn't the player we needed- as many seemed to think. He has been particularly ordinary.
