Have you been reading these posts? Apparently we're utterly shit. Have no heart. No desire. Don't care. No guts. Complete legends.

It's an accurate description of many of our supporters. Not an accurate description of this Pochettino side.

Being a shit **** supporter who jumps off at the first sign of trouble is NOT a sign of "passion". It's fucking gutless spineless "support".
So what?? Don't worry about it, let people have a meltdown if they want. And yeah we do display those qualities sometimes. Today we had no desire or passion, guts or apparent will to win. I'm amazed you couldn't see that for yourself?

Thankfully the documentary on Glenn Hoddle’s recovery immediately after the game tonight has cheered me up a bit. My favourite ever player. Keep up the recovery Glenn!!

I’m sorry mate but I’m not having the whole ‘Kane has upset the balance’ shit. We may have won a few games without him but we’ve been piss poor for the most part. Go back and read the match threads...it’s funny how short our memories are. Kane should be the first name on the team sheet. Now all of a sudden Kane is restricting Son...utter rubbish.
Sorry buddy but I’m not having that either Sonny has been different gravy since Kane has been out. And for him to be put straight back in after all the the hard work some of those boys have put in, completely sends out the wrong message. He should of been on the bench Sat. Because if I was those boys I would be saying fuck it. And strange how everyone’s energy levels have dropped through out the team after ten days off.

Football has it’s ups ans downs but this is a great time to be a Spurs fan. Improvement is never linear, just enjoy the season as a whole rather than isolated match days. We’ve never had it so good!

Definitely Trippiers fault. He's calling for the goal keeper to come out, then shits himself, kicks the ball, without looking up to whether Lloris is coming out, and just passes it past him when. He would have cleaned it up.

Trippier has and will continue to be a liability defensively, he's making bad/ridiculous decisions in every game he plays.

I missed the immediate aftermath of that goal. Did he point fingers at any of his team mates to place the blame on them ? :cautious:

That game brought back a lot of bad memories, that was as toothless a performance as I can remember under Poch. We can pick individuals that were poor but I honestly couldn’t say one player put any real effort in. We just didn’t seem to care, every contentious decision from the ref was just accepted, every missed placed pass was just met with a thumbs up or never mind from a team mate. Even Poch was seen sitting with his feet up. I can accept losing but not like this. We desperately need some horrible nasty ****s of players, that aren’t afraid to give one of our own players a kick up the arse! We’re too fucking nice, even when Poch gets charged for having a go at a ref he somehow manages to look sweet and innocent. I love Poch and hope he is with us for a very long time but what I wouldn’t give for a Simeone type from time to time!

Kane might not be 100 per cent, but he put bags of effort into that.

I was just thinking, wtf has happened to football? Its become like a game of chess. A London Derby with just a few shots on target between both teams! Christ alive its like a bad joke.

This match was the first time since December 2013 where we haven’t had a shot on bloody target. 20 bloody 13.

Piss poor performance from everyone and don’t think we have a deep enough squad to change things.

Desperately need Dier and Dele back and abandon this diamond crap.

It does indeed. I really hope that Poch looks for mentality in the players he wants to sign on the summer. We have plenty of flair, not enough Steel.
We have near to no flair. Our attack is predicated on f*cking crosses...from only 1 flank FFS. And that player is a f*cking defensive liability otherwise.

In fact I have always derided our lack of actual footballers in the team. The problem now is that we are missing the steel of Dembele and Wanyama. We don't need more non-footballing folks taht get stuck in. We need technically proficient players with some heart. for example Eriksen is a great player but his physical deficiencies are exposed without that steel backstopping him. Whatever technical deficiencies Sissoko has he has become indispensable to us in the MF. He is the only player in the team that can physically combat another player.

If our squad gets upset about the best striker in the country being put straight back in the team then that speaks volumes about the so called ‘mentality’ of our players. The players should have been thinking ‘we’re in a title race and our best fucking player is back! We’re going to fucking destroy them all!’ Not ‘oh Harry’s back, what if he upsets our balance?’ Bollocks! Kane is the ultimate professional, if our other players had half of his grit and determination then we would certainly be winning trophies.

So what?? Don't worry about it, let people have a meltdown if they want. And yeah we do display those qualities sometimes. Today we had no desire or passion, guts or apparent will to win. I'm amazed you couldn't see that for yourself?

But that's NOT what I saw tonight. It's not what WE saw.

We were AWAY to Chelsea - whose squad is far more expensive and far more better paid than we can even dream of through financial doping. An AWAY game we've won ONCE in forever - even before doping.

They came out fast. We dealt with it and took back control and should have been ahead first half. Second half they started better which was disappointing BUT they never really threatened until Toby and Lloris had consecutive howlers to gift them their goal.

The second goal was entirely of our own creation.

Anyone who has followed Spurs for the 20 years I've been in this country knows that we usually get pummelled at Stamford Bridge. Did we get "pummelled" tonight? No. We were pretty much in control but we looked toothless. So did Chelsea. We made the mistakes. They didn't.

Being out of form - or simply not having the overwhelming quality to win regardless of form - is NOT the same as lacking "desire" or "passion" or "guts"

And this is what pisses me off and why I won't "let them have a meltdown if they want"

Because their "meltdown" is more embarrassing and more a disgrace to Spurs than the result tonight. And more damaging.

Because if our "supporters" are such ****s why bother continuing to punch above their weight as this squad has done so brilliantly for the last 4 years?

And the fact is we ARE "punching above our weight". That's what makes them worthy of our support.

I do? To be clear, I couldn’t give a fuck if my use of ‘girl’ as a mild form of pejorative offends you or not. There are far more important things to worry about, like whether or not girls should be allowed to post on SC when on their period.
Charming, what a big brave man you are. I wonder if you find racism funny as well as misogyny?

@Cambridge Spur has made 21 posts so far on SC and I feel like I've Agreed or Winnered every single one of them. Fella, if you want to come over and have a beer in the clubhouse with me, @Spurrific and @E17yid then there's a space going now that @Amo's not talking to me any more.

Takes a player to want to leave for the rose tinted brigade to turn on him. Erikson has been putting in these lacklustre spells and poor big games for 5 years. Madrid ??

think the challenge is that the depth isn't really there to drop players. I'm as disappointed as any Spurs fan today but the fact is that we have been over stretched by injuries, lack of investment and the wc. People forget that when things are going well. #COYS
