The whole not shooting thing I find bizarre. Not just tonight but generally with us.

Like, as a footballer isn’t shooting the best/most fun part of the game? Isn’t it often the hardest thing to get into a position to do, this making it even more desirable when you get the chance?

Don’t you ultimately just want to score as much as possible as a footballer at a very basic level?

Just fucking weird.

When fear of failure exceeds need to achieve then players will opt to pass rather then shoot

You tell the team and media before this game that they cant win the league now, then you setup your team with the mentality that there's nothing to play for.

Dumb ****.

This forum, is a fucking forum full of accountants.

What fucking difference does it make that they have spent more than us? Fucking if Leicester had that attitude then they would have been happy to be top half rather than go for the league

The question is, are they better than us? Or have a better squad?

No, did they beat us today? Yes, because we were shit today

I hate the fact that we constantly go to fucking money as an excuse for everything as soon as we lose.

100% correct.

Our attitude was terrible last night and it was the same against Burnley.

Even Pochettino admitted that in his press conference earlier this week: “I am so frustrated because we didn’t show more attitude, more energy than Burnley. We didn’t show more ambition than them, fighting for the Premier League. That is what worried me.”

Sick & tired of the same lame excuses (their squad cost more, they spent more money, "financial doping", etc.) when we lose to Liverpool, City, United and Chelsea. So what's the excuse for Burnley, Palace and Watford?

Still disappointed that we couldn't even get a shot on target against a team that went 120 minutes in a cup final a few days previously. would have loved to have tested Caballero

What a topsy turvy world we weary Spurs supporters live in. Two games ago we thrilled to the hope of making the rest of this season a 3 horse race for the title. Lose against the Arse and suddenly the fear of 6th place starts looming on the horizon. Still, we are well used to the frequent downs and disappointments - the hurt and despondency never abates but our love for the club never dies and we will still rate them as the best club to support in Europe and that is all that counts.

Come on you Spurs.

Yep, the attitude was just dreadful. When Lloris let the ball between his legs, he just looked dejected. When Trippier put the ball into his own net, Lloris looked dejected. He should be bloody angry, both at himself and others for Chelsea's goals. We failed to press, failed to tackle, failed to shoot - terrible. Poch and his team should be ashamed of themselves. Losing a game here and there is acceptable as long as some effort is applied, but not bothering is an insult to the supporters.

That's exactly what I was saying to a Liverpool supporting mate. Now Poch has come out and said we can't win the league after losing to Burnley, I know that attitude of our players will be 'what's the point then, may as well start thinking about what beach i'm going to be laying on in the summer'. I know it wasn't Pochs intention for his comments to have that affect, but that's certainly what will happen now. A huge response is needed on Saturday now, will we see it? I'm not sure. What I do know is that work today with Chelsea fans is painful, it's going to be a long day.

That went well didn't it?

Maybe not necessary to mock a perfectly level-headed and sensible post like my original one.
You are absolutely correct and that's a well-deserved comment. Let me just add that in the moment of writing, I actually thought you were at least partially being funny (as witnessed by the fact that I rated your post funny).
Regardless, you were right, I was wrong. (y)

Ah, of course. Call someone a ‘girl’ and two posts later you’re being asked if you find racism funny. I should have seen that one coming.
I guess you are being deliberately pedantic, my first reply to you was totally polite and inoffensive but you decided to double down with the tired old sexist bullsh*t of 'girls on their period shouldn't post on SC', but you are obviously deciding to ignore that part.
My last reply was making the point that I'm sure you don't find racism funny in the slightest, but yet you don't have an issue making openly sexist comments, why? I guess It's just 'pc gone mad' to think it's possible to discuss football on a public forum that is supposed to be open and welcoming to all Spurs supporters regardless of gender/race/sexuality without having to resort to insults about any of those groups of people right?

Not trying to call you out really, just had a bad feeling about our form and their improvement last night.

Not a chance in hell.

The fight now is for 4th, and I'll tell you something, those chasing teams are way above the level were at at the moment.

  • Tottenham have won just three of their 23 Premier League away games against 'big six' sides under Mauricio Pochettino, losing 13.
Sums it all up really.
