Referee: --- ---- Michael Oliver ???????

TEAM FORM: --- Chelsea LDWDL ------ Spurs DWWWL
----- (All Competitions)

Chelsea have won their last two Premier League (PL) games against us, last winning three in a row in March 2006, when they were managed by our boss Jose Mourinho. Chelsea have lost seven home games in all competitions this season - they last lost more at Stamford Bridge in a single campaign back in 1985-86 (8). They are also win less in four PL games (D2 L2), last having a longer such run in the competition between October - December 2012 (7 games).

We have won just 1 of our last 33 away games against Chelsea in all competitions (D11 L21), a 3-1 in April 2018 in a PL fixture. The away side has won three of the last five PL meetings between us (L2), with that occurring just once in the previous 23 games (1 D9 L13). We have won 499 top -flight away games and could become the 7th team to reach 500 wins on the road after Liverpool, Arsenal, Manu, Everton, Aston Villa and Chelsea.

I hate this new playing policy of "sitting back and be pressured, then counter with speed on a break". Hope the tactics are changed for this game but I doubt it somehow.

We need to win, and we can win despite not having Kane and Son. Getting 4th place is totally in our hands as we do not need to rely on other results, but I feel we are going to fuck this up somehow. Anyway COYS!

I think it's down to the fact that we really are down to bare bones and this dictates the way we play. The players need to be kept fresh for as long as possible and that means playing an energy efficient game. If we lose any more forward-playing players we are in full blown crisis mode with 3 competitions still to play in. Had it not been for one lapse in concentration we would have walked away with a 0-0 draw, meaning any score draw at Leipzig would have favoured us. Alas it did not happen, but we did have more shots on target even with sitting back. We beat City by playing that way. It just requires iron discipline from the team.

I'm pessimistic of our chances as I think they'll set up with a back 3 and completely nullify our limited attacking options, and I don't trust us to keep a clean sheet for 90 minutes.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Abraham back, or even if he isn't, Giroud is a real handful and has a knack of scoring against us.

A midfield of Tanguy, Lo Celso and Winks would make me a bit more optimistic but Ive got a bad feeling we're gonna end up seeing Dier in some way

I'm not overly positive tbh... mostly because this will be our 3rd game in about 6 days, while Chelsea have had nearly a week off. We're utterly pegged.

I think despite all their problems this will be a fairly straightforward Chelsea win. I don't really see how we're going to score. I could see Giroud popping one in and them winning one or two nil.

I don't hold much hope for this game but as long as we fight and don't sit back and get battered then I won't be to gutted. They are a good team to be fair and we've had two days less to rest so I suspect they will be on the front foot straight away.

What would help us if we stopped those attacks straight away and went out quickly ourselves to set the tempo and not sit back and let it happen, I fear it won't happen though.

Who's going to score for us? Who's going to create chances? We rely heavily on individual brilliance these days to get our goals and without Son, Kane and Eriksen (formally) I can't see anyone with that in their locker.

Noone in our squad can even shoot well from outside the box which make it worse, we are basically impotent.

My money is on nil nil

Kane and Son’s injuries have really taken all optimism I had for the rest of the season:(

Come on it’s not that bad? if we match their midfield up we can get a result. Their strikers couldn’t hit a barn door at 5 yards at the moment

But in this fixture their form always seems to be irrelevant. They raise their game against us. They're a moneyed West Ham.

I don't know what state Tammy's in but I imagine if he's still a "maybe", he'll be rested for Bayern. Hopefully.

Lo Celso seems able to shoot well from outside the box and create as does Bergwijn actually but I do still see your point - any team is going to miss their two highest scoring players...
