Sure? Or is it no obligation?

I don’t think we’d just do Barca a favour for shits and giggles? Could be wrong though.
No that's what dry loan means - no purchase option or obligation - I have no idea regarding details as I haven't read the di marzio piece, just answering the question

I think that’s it for left footed CBs unless they’re ones suited to compete with Dier for the CCB. If it’s not Bremer I think the other new CB will be competing with Dier/rotating with Romero. I do hope Lenglet finds his form as as much as I feel Davies did a really good job I can’t help but think it’s one of the few positions in the side where I genuinely feel we could find and afford a better player.

I suspect this means we'll be after a right-footed CB now. Will be interesting to see whether our interest in Bremer becomes more concrete, or if there are other targets that will emerge.

has to I say…lenglet, davies LCB, romero, sanchez RCB and Dier, Bremer CB.

The puzzling thing is bringing in Lenglet surely means the end of Torres Bastoni chances.

Unles Lenglet is depth to cover both LCB and CCB, so say to replace Rodon.

And we could still bring in a Bastoni Torres Bremer type.

Not going to bump the thread unnecessarily, but (opinion) this smells to me that we are going for Bremer/a CCB option also.

Conterio (who is decent for our stuff recently) says there IS an option to buy

That makes far more sense, we just wouldn't deal otherwise. He comes here and smashes it, we've screwed ourselves.

His value is currently at rock bottom. Structuring the deal this way enables them to capture the upside if he finds some form, they get his wages off the books and their club-linked journos have suggested they're getting a loan fee as well. We meanwhile get a second left-footed CB to hold us over for a season at essentially no risk. It works for both parties.

May as well slip in an option so that on the off chance he’s actually good we can buy him. Kinda ruined my Richarlison high though ngl

Sell Rodon and Sanchez and get Lenglet and Bremer and you’re probably not far off breaking even. Which would be great business.

Good upgrade on Rodon and another experienced player who has been in a squad that has won titles

Very happy with this. Think he’s severely under rated and being able to play LCB and CCB is good flexibility for the squad! And keeps some funds free for another addition.

MOVEMENT!!!! ?

He will come in as competition for Dier etc.

We will be signing another CB. Who that will be I don't yet know, but Bremer was looking good although I've heard nothing since my last update.

Spence to arrive shortly and will be three more through the door for the start of pre season.

So refreshing to get so much business done early.

People still doubting what we all said in Jan?! ???
