That is just ridiculous. Who cares how he scores goals, but he has. He was in the right position at the right time to score the goals. His contribution to the team is limited, but he has still scored goals, still assisted and works his nuts off during a game. To call on him as a squad player shows how far we have come.

Of course we care. CD was trying to clear the ball or pass or do some crazy flick but ended up putting the ball in the bloody net. FFS Clint.

I'd much rather we went back in time, got him to pirouette, fake, show and roulette then hand back any points he's helped us win but looked fab whilst doing it all. That way we could be 6th in the table rather than 4th AND everyone would be delighted with his Spurs way of play.

Good positional sense but seems to be a very poor finisher from what I have seen.

He does seem to get into good positions but he never seems to do anything with it. Reminds me of Darren Bent without the finishing prowess and prolific (ish) goal scoring record....eh yeah....prob not incredibly complementary.

Great signing, always love watching someone who will give you everything and he does that every time he puts on that jersey we all love!

Has popped up on several occasions to make the difference in matches and I'm 100% sure he'll do so again a few more times between now and the end of the season!

That's generous. Very generous. He jogs about too much for my liking.

I do like the bloke though. How anyone can hate him/insult him after some of the goals he's scored this season is incredible. He scored an injury time equaliser against United ffs. I wish some people would show the man some love.

Complete bollocks. If you truly believe Dempsey works his nuts off, you are an idiot.

Does Bale always work his nuts off? Does Ade? Did Berbs/Ginola?

Give the guy a fucking break, he's contributing.

Take it you hated JJ too? Too many people looking for a scapegoat on this forum and seem to have found it in Dempsey. As for the 'idiot' comment, i take it that you are referring to my opinion. You sir, based on the responses from several people on this particular thread seem to be an absolute tool.

Wonderful movement and volley from Deuce to go up a goal against Honduras just now. In attacking positions he is very dangerous - he didnt score 17 league goals last year by accident. I'll post a gif when I find one

Thanks. He's a bit shit at CAM but I think he could score plenty of goals for us as a WF in a 4-3-3. I think he'll be useful as a cup player and sub over the next couple of seasons as we transition to that formation, though I wish we would have spent £6m more to get Sturridge or someone like Aubameyang for the same position.

I'm all for giving him a break, think he gets too much stick even though its warranted to an extent...however, do you not see what's glaringly obvious with those player comparisons?

Hint: there all infinitely better footballers.

I do think he gets too much stick though - and I refuse to accept he's as shit as some make out.
