Dempsey has been a valuable support player this season. You can't have a team full of only stylish attackers - You need your grafters even in the attacking zones. I recall not so long ago everybody on here moaning about Bale cutting inside and 'not staying on the wing' ... Dempsey's performance yesterday in the second half was excellent in terms of covering the left and allowing Bale to focus on attack. He is also very competitive in the air. Yes, sometimes he does slow down our fluid attacks by being indecisive, but although not always pretty it cannot be denied that he is effective. AVB's strategy has a lot to do with pressing when the opposition have possession and Clint leads from the front in this department.

His contribution on the field for goals & assists have been great. He does slow us down sometimes & he might have flaws in his game but whilst he's in a Spurs shirt il support him fully whether he stays for 1 season or many many more.

I like Clint. Dunno why.

I love the important goals he has scored and despite his limitations he tends to give his all.

I think Holtby will supplant him but he will be a valuable squad member.

Seems he gets a lot of criticism for not being the striker we didn't sign. Can't fault him for that.

I'm the opposite - ever since he signed I can't stand Dempsey and I can't really explain why. Nothing to do with not being a striker.

Really makes me cringe when I see him in our shirt. It's a proper "I don't like the look of him" type reaction.

So this just makes it worse when he gives the ball away, throws himself to floor and mainly looks disinterested (don't agree with your gives his all bit). I know a few other players can be like this but for some reason when he does it - it really does my head in.

What I don't like about him is that he blows hot and cold, sometimes he's super dangerous and electric but most of the times he is absolute bobbins

I'm happy. I'll continue defending him though, as long as people keep attacking him unjustly. It keeps my wit sharp.

Doing what a lot of people don't notice him doing, like covering for Gareth Bale leaving him free to attack.
