Come on, it wasn't just his tactics that made us performed badly there were many other factors that influenced this. Mainly to do with having to move stadiums and not being able to spend money. He won't have these isssues at Man U.

People can try and convince themselves he won't be a success but the fact is for 4 and half years he was very good for us. He's one of the best managers in the world and unfortunately Man U will benefit from this.

United are a mess from right from the very top-down, they aren't there to be successful they are there to make money, look at their signings in the summer Maguire and AWB both over priced, their midfield is non existent and Rashford and Martial are sporadic at best. I think Poch will improve them certainly but unless their owners change their outlook he wont have them challenging City or Liverpool any time soon. They have players on stupid contracts like Lingard, Mata, Matic, Jones, Bailly who they simply cant get rid off.

Unless the Glaziers start properly spending I cant see them getting back to the position they were in. Also Woodward is an absolute arsehole, when he was pitching the sanagers job to Klopp he told him to imagine an adult version of Disneyland.

Because Simeone is a great manager. Getting results against Barca and Real regularly. He'd definitely sort out United's awful defence. So, imo, they would become a huge threat to our ambitions of silverware.

United wont hire Simeone, their fan bas would implode.

I think that's just a media/fan narrative, Martial is just unsettled, you can see he needs a manager to push him like Pep pushed Sane. We always hear about these type of players at similar age who need managing properly and I believe Martial is one of them.

And Pogba has always been a scapegoat for insecure dickheads like Souness, he was absolutely fine under Conte and when he plays for France we don't hear about these supposed problems.

No, I remember a video the other year when 3 players were interviewed (including Pogba). They were asked who was the moodiest player or one who complains all the time and with no prompting from each other they all simultaneously said Martial. I’m basing it on his actual team mates saying what he’s like.

Poch is great, but not infallible. His apparent belief that we need a painful rebuild is just wrong. After a rebuild, what are the chances that we are going to get another Kane, Son, and Dele, all world class players entering the prime of their careers? He wanted to change systems, for some reason, forcing players such as Dele to play out of their natural positions, instead of employing a system that made the most of the players' talents. He also has to shoulder some of the blame for the constant niggling injuries that have plagued the team for the last 2 years.

The bottom line is that we have at least the third more talented team in the league, but have been in relegation form for the last 12 months. Not all relationships have to last forever, it was time for him to go.

Don't see that as a major issue tbh

I think we will have to disagree on that, I think a lot of this team is way overrated. We are not as poor as our recent run but the squad needs a lot of work.

Fair play to Everton for shooting their shot. Would be pretty interesting actually. They aren't afraid to spend money but the base squad is miles behind the one he had with us. Surely he's after bigger roles but the romance of Everton does suit his personality. They have a lot in common with both us and Espanyol.

I'd say Everton have got a better squad than we had when he first took over. But he can get a better job, surely.

Wouldn't mind seeing him at Everton.

However think he'll hold out for something bigger.

Yeah I'm not sure why either. Successful pragmatist and huge twat to finally pick up the 25 year mantle of a massively successful pragmatist and colossal twat. Sounds perfect.

I assume because of the Beckham incident, although I seriously doubt whether any Utd fans would give a shit about that 20 years on.

There might be an issue with the playing style though. They didn't go in for Mourinho's style of football, so I'm not sure what they'd make of Simeone's which is arguably even more conservative.

Not sure about that to be honest, Poch inherited some good players. Plus I doubt they are going to have a Harry Kane breaking through at the same time.

Poch inherited Lloris, Eriksen, Dembele, Vertonghen, Lamela, Kane, Walker, Rose, and Dier had just signed too. Granted he improved the last 4 massively but he still had a lot of quality in the squad he picked up. I'd say there's more competition in the league now too than in 2014.
