I thought Fashnu come across as an absolute w*nker
Because he is. Remember what he did to Mabbutt. Hated Wimbledon with a passion. Put them on a par with Chelsea and Arsenal for my dislike of other 'football' teams. Dennis Wise, John Fashanu and Vinny Jones pretty much sums up what Wimbledon were. I for one don't miss them.

John Scales and Terry Gibson have both expressed their disappointment with the documentary. Many inaccuracies, many lies even, and neither surprised that Fashanu and Vinny Jones took over the show - both Scales and Gibson say the reality was very different.

Fashanu isn't a human being. He's far worse than John Terry or Ashley Cole. He's right up there with the likes of Sol when it comes to being a scum bag.

I think having a career at Chelsea did Dennis Wise some good - Jones & Fash were only really famous for their time wombling, but Wisey went on to achieve something with a comparatively "proper" top flight club. The other two just lived off the hype of that side but at least i can respect Jones for forging a new career in acting - what did Fash do? Carried on being Fash, presenting Gladiators, and now whenever he gets asked about his career he just harps on about how dangerous he was.

Funny thing is, he was a tough guy, and he had a fair turn of pace - if he'd been at a different club i imagine he'd have made a pretty good living, but he wasted any talent he may have been able to nurture by spending his time taking cheap shots at players in tunnels.

I would put Fashanu above Sol in the scum bag table. As bad as Sol is at least he didn't break an opponents skull or disown his own brother.

John Fashanu didn't have half the talent his brother Justin had. And the wanker disowned his brother for being gay. John Fashanu was a tosser of the highest order.

Shame Fash, Vinnie & Wally chose to revel in 'brutality' of Crazy Gang. Fash deluded & typically selfish. Embarrassing but predictable.

I don't like big time charlies / lack of humility. Sad lack of respect to teammates & fans Irony is success was in spite of them not because

'88 FA Cup was brilliant culmination of Harry's legacy and reward for talent, focus, hard work & team ethic. Not always pretty but admirable

Bobby Gould genius of orchestrating things, getting Don Howe in & managing difficult dressing room.

He doesnt talk to his brothers iirc because of the arsenal switch

Though to disown your brother for being gay or in John's opinion being an attention seeker is low. I agree with your statement though

Indeed:

Terry Gibson:

Do people really believe that John Fashanu controlled and dominated our dressing room, ruling by fear of him? Does anybody really believe him when he said he locked people in a boot of a car, that he would tell someone they wouldn’t be allowed to eat for 2 days and that someone was going to be watching over them 24/7 so that they couldn’t? The bloke is deluded. In truth WE tolerated him and laughed at him, he really was and still is a clown.

The only one he controlled was his mate Jonesy. Hence why Vinnie still comes out with false stories backing his old mucker’s tales.

Nobody had their calf obliterated in a changing room fight. With blood all over the place and 30 stitches needed. It is all complete nonsense. Yes there was a stupid wrestling fight between John Fashanu and a younger player called Robbie Turner. Fash stripped down to his underpants and covered himself in baby oil in preparation for the bout. Robbie Turner stood his ground and they wrestled each other, no punches were thrown. Robbie couldn’t get a grip of Fash due to the coating of baby oil and at some stage he whacked his calf on a bench. Yes he was in agony and the fight stopped. It turned out he had done some serious damage to his calf muscle with the blow and if I remember rightly he did need surgery on it at a later stage. There was no blood and no Fash did not throw him about like a rag doll but Vinnie will never let the truth get in the way of a good story.
