Looks like he's getting forced out regardless, we might aswell benefit, Madrid as usual want to stack it in their favour so if they've made a mistake they can rectify it with ease and that's where Levy will hopefully negotiate well. Eriksen is gone already imo, we're just trying to find the variables which benefit us from it.

I agree with what your saying(y) just dunno if i want a player that doesnt want to be at spurs and would always have one foot i the door whilst one always out of the door

If Real wanted to force our hand into accepting a loan bid then getting the media to suggest he'll go to Arsenal on loan might be the tactic to use :whistle:

Doubt it. Levy and Poch would happily walk from a deal that doesn’t satisfy the main criteria simply because Arseshit were dangling their todgers in the wind

He might be happy to come, it may be just a case of waiting to see if the door is really closed for him at Madrid. After all, he will have pride and wouldn't want to think of his time at the club as a failure and if he can salvage an opportunity he'd probably like to. Although it does seem like they aren't to fussed about him.

I think there's a good chance it'll happen. The lad wants to play in the Euros and has a decent shot at it, as long as he's playing regularly and playing at a great level.

His options seem to be;

1. He stays at Madrid and he gets limited game time. Unless he's really confident he can change ZZ's mind.
2. He wants a one-year loan deal and nothing less due to wanting to stay at Madrid. Therefore, we rule ourselves out which means he either sits on the Madrid bench for another year or another club has to come in for him.
3. He ends up at someone like Arsenal or Milan, who have no CL or European football respectively, meaning he likely gets ignored by the Spanish selectors.

If Poch is giving him assurances that this is the club for him to blossom then he may well say goodbye to Madrid and look to establish himself at our club all the while giving himself a great chance of getting in the Euro squad.

3 point is wrong if he will miss it's because a lot of competitors, not a club. 3 players from last Spain call-ups was playing in Europa League and 5 of them didn't have any european football. And clubs like Arsenal and Milan are too big to ignore players from this club.

At the very least, I think Ceballos knows that the emojis and the fact it’s a telephone box will be bait, given the rumours. He’s either taking the piss or having a knowing laugh.

I’ve been away for a week or so, so I probably missed it, did the cryptic have anything to do with Ceballos?

I understand we want the loan with option to buy at a set price because if they have a great season it'll be a bargain (see Lo Celso at Betis) but hear me out here - if he does well, he'll go back to Madrid who are arguably the biggest club in the world and star for them. We can then potentially look at HG options like Grealish/Maddison after another season of Prem experience.
We're again playing so many games across the competitions it doesn't make sense to turn down a quality player just because we can't guarantee to buy him IF he does well.
