It is odd seeing as they play different positions and Real are overstacked with attacking midfielders already.

But yes it would be a pleasant surprise

If Madrid cancelled the Ceballos loan to Arsenal because one of their other players was injured playing against Arsenal... I think I would piss myself.

That would just be next level hilarious.

However could this also mean that a move for Eriksen is on again?

The best way to look at this is would you rather have Ceballos for a year, or Eriksen for at least another year and hopefully more if he ends up signing a new deal?

Eriksen wins it hands down

Sky Sports reporting that Ceballos is currently having a medical for his loan move to the Arse

.....but Asensio was injured quite badly last night!

Ceballos is a cm and Asensio is not, It's not going to make a bit of difference.

I think we are giving Ceballos too much credit tbh, ton of potential for sure but would you rather sign the guy who couldn't break in the madrid midfield or the guy who bossed them over 2 games? Because Lo Celso did that.

Why would the Asensio injury effect Ceballos in any way?

They don't play in the same position and are completely different styled players.

There's a scenario that he does brilliantly, he goes back to Real but they get back into the CL - in which case it will have been worth it.

I'm not chuffed by this at all.
Honestly I'm delighted we aren't stooping to unfavorable deals like this. Ceballos isn't an investment for Arsenal, he's just an expensive plaster. Even if he does brilliantly, Arsenal don't have a problem scoring. They can't defend.

People just imagine random shit in their heads. Like that guy who said Asensio's injury means we need to seal Lo Celso quickly because Madrid could come in for him.

Since we're still talking about Ceballos, all RM outgoings are apparently "paralysed" due to Asensio's injury...
