So JJ confirms we're aware of his wish to move to another club and feels he's missed out on England due to his situation at Chelsea.

With the Chavs now bringing in Hulk and Hazard it looks very unlikely that he'll be in Chelsea's plans for next season.

Personally i think he'd be a great player to have and would probably fit better into out team than Remy, as the right side player in a 4-3-3 formation.

We'll it sounds like he's on our radar, 99% of the threads on players won't lead to us signing them, so we might as well have a discussion in here about it rather than in the daily thread. :)

There's a reason why he doesn't play on a regular basis for Chelsea, and that is because other than a bit of pace he's not really that good.

Pass

Would probably be over priced and in my opinion is over rated

A good player but not sensational, as said above there's a reason he doesn't feature that much for Chelsea

We don't play 4-3-3.

Although I think Sturridge is better than Defoe and will develop further.

Yea better than Defoe and would be a great upgrade for Defoe but I;m not sure he'd want to come in to be our back up or third choice striker like Defoe is right now and we really should be aiming for better for our first choice in my opinion

The lad is a decent player, but is not an out and out number 9 which he seems to believe he is. If he was willing got play as a wide strike I think he would be a decent addition.

He plays well in a 4-3-3 where he can use his pace to get ahead of his full back marker. Not sure he's that well suited to a number 9 position. It seems Man City want him back anyway.

I cant see why he'd go back to man city. He'd be even further away from getting games there than he is at Chelsea

He has a good left foot, he got pace and skills. He could be the new replacement for Bale if he leaves...

Sturridge was apparently moaning about playing wide in a 4-3-3 earlier in the season, saying he wanted to play as the central striker instead. Hence I can't see him taking up a Bale role.
To be honest I think he's a very promising player, but he seems pretty selfish on the pitch and a bit of a brat off it.

I'd take Sturridge.

Looks a good prospect and I think he's perfectly capable of playing the central role giving us a very good option there.

He's got a year to go but whether and you would expect that would mean that it would reduce his vlaue. The fact it's Chelsea I suspect means it won't reduce it for us

Remy plays as a striker and has done for nearly 5 yrs. I'd be stunned if we were shelling out the fee they'd want to use him as a winger.

Also Sturridge has stated all season that he's not interested in playing wide so if it were the case that this was our plan I'd image he(and Remy for that matter) and his agent would drop out of any negotiations

He went to Chelsea because he was a cocky little **** who wants loads of cash. He is a very selfish player who rarely makes the right choice and wants big wages- we could have stuck with the slightly less greedy taarabt.

Having said that, if he is willing to work hard and take less cash then he could be good in the future.

The left-footed English Loic Remy.

Not bad. I'd take him; his pace is exceptional; he's actually rather good in the air; he's a good finisher. He, sadly, has a bit of the Jermain Defoe "i shoot" lack-of-brain complex, but when he does pass he's devastating because of his pace and dribbling. I don't see him leaving Chelsea, and if he does, we may be priced out of the move, but I think it could prove to be a massive coup if we pick him up.

Put it this way; if he fulfills his potential he could be a 20-goal-a-season player without a doubt.

Can't see where you get he isn't that good from. He's strong, good in the air versatile, has excellent technique and is a fantastic finisher

He did play on a very regular basis until AVB went and the reason he lost his place was probably down to the fact he's not as functional as Kalou. AVB played him wide and he's a centre forward.

I think Sturidge is a better player than Wellbeck, he just doesn't get the games at Chelsea because the want/NEED Torres to get back to form.
