would be a legit possibility though don't you think? not sure whether utd would let welbeck go but they need a cm or three and you'd think the two players would command a similar fee.

I agree with you on most part for Paulinho, but I certainly would not make that trade. There are better strikers available for less (Remy), and if we were to allow Paulinho to leave I'd prefer it for the cash to find a replacement (we could find an upgrade for considerably less IMO - Badelj) with significant cash left over for another position of need (for instance we could get both Badelj and Remy for what we paid for Paulinho and likely still have a bit left over).

It would absolutely be a legitimate opportunity. United wouldn't believe their luck.

10-15m on welbeck would be a bargain... Some people think we can sign better...Who ??
He's like signing a younger remy that's english...

Would love him to come to us...I reckon they'll be some other top clubs after him too if he does wana go

Please don't make anymore jokes like this, I'll laugh so hard a little bit of wee might come out.

Oh and Rodriguez is better and despite his exotic sounding name, he's from Burnley, the place where drinking bottled water will earn you the nickname 'Hollywood'

You've got a mighty strange idea of what constitutes a bargain.

No just no, bloody awful player, would probably do a decent job at a team 12-20th in the premiership but no way good enough for us

Welbeck is a poor man's Sturridge. If he is not good enough for manure then why would we want him.
Maybe swap for danny rose!

God no! He is yet another "striker" who can't strike but has a great all round game.

When he leaves man u it will be for midtable or Sunderland!

I really like Welbeck to me he is an athletic and skillful player, he can play as a central striker or winger/striker id be willing to pay up to 15m for him and would have Welbeck ahead of Rodriguez.
Central striker? Good lord....

I would not call six goals in 26 appearances 'fantastic'.

If we want to buy English, Rodriguez looks a better bet, and if we don't Remy will be cheaper. And if we want to develop an English youngster, what's wrong with Kane?

Withering use of stats there...

Didn't rodriguez knacker his knee? Only an idiot would consider him before he has shown he can play well again. Isn't Remy a wide forward rather than a CF? Isn't Kane a case in point? Shouldn't we have sent him out immediately after the Norwich debacle and got him some serious game-time at a lower order prem team?

I don't get the point you're trying to make? Is there one?

As opposed to hilariously inaccurate use of 'fantastic'? As I recall, you were wont to claim Stupor Pav was a top striker, which suggests your ability to pick a player is somewhat fallible.

I doubt you saw every game Welbeck (or Rose, for that matter) played for Sunderland, so how you can call him 'fantastic' I don't know. Or maybe you did. Me, I've got better things to do than watch a bunch of bozos struggle for survival, so I'll stick to stats.

No, we shouldn't have sent Kane out on loan. Better for him to have serious game-time with us than an outfit like, um, Sunderland.

We already have Ade, and some people think Soldao will come good. What would we do with Welbeck?

How is he not like remy can play anywhere across the top.. Quick, can score, good dribbler and he's younger so can get even better

And Rodriguez has a serious injury... Will he even come back the same player

P.s - if your still pissing yourself at this age I really feel for you bro

Name better forward that we can get cheaper than welbeck if he was available
15m ain't that much for a player like welbeck in today's football

You're funny, I was almost peeing but just had to cope with the tears streaming down my face.

Danny Welbeck is none of those things you seem to think he is, apart from young, he's slower than Chadli, a worse dribbler than Townsend and is as prolific as Michael Dawson.

There is no way that we should pay £15,000,000 for a player who thinks he's a centre forward but only managed to score 20 goals, contribute 14 assists the 5000 minutes that he has amassed in his entire career.
JRod on the other hand know's he's a left wing forward and contributed 17 goals and 3 assists in 2900 minutes this season, then we have Loic Remy who played 2100 minutes this season, contributed 14 goals and 3 assists in a Newcastle team that were on the beach in March.

Both are cheaper, both a proven, both are more experienced and both don't have a profile, wage demands or ego that have been elevated by that red shirt he wears.
The most important thing though is that we should not be helping Man United by picking up their cast offs, if it was Mata, James Wilson or Nick Powell then I'd snap their hand off but because they're prospects or proven, Welbeck is neither.
