This was talked about on a sport forum earlier. They reckon he's gone from £10k to £20k. Can't believe that's the case but good news that he's signed on. Might shut certain pundits up for a month or so...

Chap I know who claims to know his agent (I can't vouch for this) said his agent thinks it won't be long before he moves on to somewhere else, sees us as a stepping stone.

Any truth to that, would you know? I'm as keen to put my gobby mate down as anything. Ta.

Can't imagine that. Its his first season and he has a manager that believes in him, has premier league starts and is getting england call ups, whilst playing for a team currently in the top 4 postions. And he has a new contract (allegedly). What more could he want?

Don't put your mate down. Get a vet to do it instead.

Reality is, we have a very talented, but very young squad. If they continue to develop together, and be added to by this next crop of talented youngsters we appear to have looming, plus maybe the odd astute signing, then I think we could be in for some success, and as such, these talented players will not really need to move on to achieve things, players will want to play for us. Look at the spine of English talent we now provide to the national team, surely that's a huge bonus when they go for international get togethers, going as a group.
We have a hugely promising coach, who actually loves to do just that, coach players. There seems to have been a great team spirit cultivated. We have world class training facilities, and also a new stadium on the horizon. Tottenham are a club on the up, and it appears particular attention is being paid to making sure there are solid foundations in place, some real talented players in the academy to improve and then maintain the flow of players graduating from within. Kane, Mason, Bentaleb, Townsend and Carroll in recent seasons, Pritchard closing in. The first four going on to make international debuts. The next tier seems to be approaching, Onomah, Oduwa, Ball, Carter-Vickers, Veljkovic, Walker-Peters, Winks etc etc Edwards and Sterling etc further back...
It's a great time to be a Spurs fan.

My mate is not saying he said or thinks that, his agent is. I'm sure most agents would love to engineer a big transfer, with their cut, to a club which doesn't have a sensible wage structure like we do.

Not wishing to tar all agents with the same brush, hopefully if Dele is happy for all the reasons you mention, he'll care more about that than any next move, at least for the foreseeable.

This time last year Deli Alli was a League 1 player who stayed with a League 1 club for the rest of the season for various reasons and helped them into the Championship. I think your mate may be getting his mate's clients mixed up, confusing Dele Alli with Adel Taarabt who was using us to get a well deserved contract at Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Poch was in a suit in yesterdays interviews at hotspur way. That usually means a contract renewal photoshoot.

Strange interview as it's probably the most nervous I've seen Mauricio in front of the cameras for quite a while. Certainly good to see how his English has improved during his time with us.

Spoke to my mate who played with Dele at MK, as he is coming to the game with me tomorrow and he also confirmed he has signed a new deal. Dele won't be starting tomorrow, possibly on the bench.
