Right out of the blocks, there are a few issues with this.

He was 28 million last year. While he had a poor year, it couldn't devalue him enough that we could afford him.

They sold Giovinco and have no replacement for him that I know of. Although I would trust IOMLS' opinion on that statement

Where do we play Diego? We push him out on the wing and he would be worthless. He's made to run the show in a 4-4-2 and needs to be central. To do that he needs a ball-winner, which would be Palacios. So we would have to basically tell Huddlestone he's no longer in our plans.

Would love to hear some news on Diego but can't see it happening. Not really sure how he would even fit in these days unless we go to a 4-5-1.

I won't say a word mate.

You bloody tease!

Diego had a poor season last season, but who didn't at the Old Lady. He has a hell of a lot of talent, and a lovely pass and shot on him. I reckon he's the closest thing going to Riquelme, and if we played an attacking midfielder in the hole off of a centre forward, Diego could be just the trick.

I wouldn't normally persist with a spill the beans style desperation request, but seeing as it's regarding my favourite non-Spurs player, Diego, spill the fucking beans!

Seriously though, I think I'd implode via the penis if we signed Diego. I still have a cutout from the Daily Star on my wall at work from 2003 when we almost signed him from Santos. I'll take a picture.

Juve signed Diego for 20 something million - a huge loss on a player after only a season.

Prefer it if you didn't Scutch....

on second thoughts... it's a slow day, so you might as well... or maybe not... then again...

*quietly descends into madness waiting for some decent ITK :duh:

If Diego is available at that price, I would be very surprised if we're not interested. Especially after our previous attempts to get him in. What a great alternative and upgrade on Joe Cole that would be.

Diego and Fabiano for £30m would be utter cream.
