I remember reading that his performances dropped in his last year at Ajax as well.

You know he will be absolute quality for inter.

He will put in a shift for Inter I’m sure, but I know for an absolute fact that his corners will be total dog crap.

And you don’t think that could have anything to do with the whole squad being dreadful to watch for the past 18 months? Just Eriksen huh.
There was no need to comment about the rest of the squad as they are not leaving . Follow the links to understand the reasoning behind my comments.
Quite happy to discuss the poor performance of the squad in the relevant topic.

For me, regardless of situation, you don't boo your own players. Eriksen has been a great servant to spurs and I'm gutted he's off. Doesn't mean I'm happy with his contribution, he's been pony for quite some time now.
I'll wish him well for the future as he's a decent person.

I love Modric and Bale but they behaved much worse to the club than Eriksen. Modric wanted to go to Chelsea ffs. Eriksen has played almost every game and runned the most in every game, the whole team has been poor and he’s playing deeper in midfield with no DM besides him. Also he probably doesn’t have much confidence. There’s no way he deserves this much criticism and “hate” from the fans after all he’s done to us

And can people please stop saying he’s been poor for 18 months, he was involved in 27 goals last season playing many times in a deeper position

It’s all in his body language though isn’t it. That and the fact that he’s purposely allowed his contract to run down. That should tell you everything you need to know about him. Of course he’s scored some goals, cause sometimes he decides to turn up for 20 minutes here and there. Generally speaking however, for the last 18 months he hasn’t been fully committed to the cause. This season he’s been mostly woeful and I think, disrespectful. He’s being paid a fortune! You can argue your case if you like, but it doesn’t stop the truth being he truth.

He's given us so many great moments over the years, it's wrong to boo him. He's been honest about wanting to go abroad and it's not his fault we've been so lax in finding a replacement or managers have kept picking him.

Are you a family member?? Seriously. I really don’t get your blind support of him. He has been awful for many many months & frankly pathetic in the our 2 biggest games. I get he’s your fellow countryman but come on you can’t really believe he’s been playing ok. He has stunk up the shop more often than any other player in the squad yet somehow gets picked again and again.
I don't support him as much as you might think. Just look back in his thread for that. I'm just saying Eriksen is playing bad as the squad has been playing bad for a very long time. And funny enough his contract runs down and you most fans are pathetic to watch especially in here. The blame is absurd.

Well funny enough his contract runs down, but if we as a squad performed as good as we have before, there would be no Eriksen-blame at all. Like Dier said and ITK yesterday, he has been VERY professional about ALL this.

What bloody body language?? He’s always been like this. And a contract is a contract the club knew he wouldn’t sign a new one

If he has been booed,
it's a disgrace, an embarrassment and quite frankly pathetic

If a player wants to leave the club and not put in 100% on the pitch which Eriksen is clearly not doing then yes he deserves to be booed. I don't know why Jose keeps playing him, because he must know Eriksen is not giving his all. Also the fact he could get injured and scupper the transfer is another factor. Don't get me wrong Eriksen has been a great player for us but he clearly does not want to be at the club, and does not seem to give a toss anymore. So the sooner he leaves the better.

He stated his desire to try new challenges some time ago. Unfortunately, he’s become the whipping boy for the demise of the team over the last 12 months; I don’t believe he deserves to be booed one iota. There’s way too much ‘instant gratification fickleness’ within our fanbase.
Outside of the manc teams, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea who else has constantly challenged? Us!
We need to get a grip on the reality of who we are as a club; not cast blame upon the shoulders of one individual. For me, he leaves with his head held high. Good luck Christian

This is the problem, too many people are experts on something they think they know about but know absolutely nothing about. In Eriksen's 6 and a bit years at the club his body language hasn't changed one bit, he's always looked like he's on the periphery of matches and looks unenthusiastic when he plays, he was the same at Ajax and the same for Denmark. The only difference is that some fans started noticing it when he wouldn't sign a contract purely because fans don't generally pay attention to things like that anyway and his pitch demeanor fits with some stupid wild narrative that all of a sudden he couldn't be bothered to play for Spurs in the last year and a half which is utter nonsense.

I wish him all the best, the majority of the time he was here he was utter class and one of the best players I've seen at this club - I said this before 6 years is a fucking long time to spend at a football club these days and the marriage got stale so the move is best for both parties.

On Wednesday there were definitely pockets of fans booing him, not persistent,
but it happened a few times. This prompted a few of us to sing his song.......definitely in the minority there :)

I would never boo one of our own players . But for a third if the time he has been at the club he has been average or poor or abysmal with the odd good goal or assist while I would not boo him I certainly will not praise him he along with Rose does not deserve to be at this club and I will give a sigh of relief when both are gone .

We haven't seen the whole squad drop off as far as commitment(in games) and effort is concerned though.
This is the crux of it really. Despite he whole team’s drop in form. Eriksen takes the stick he does because he is clearly just phoning it in. It’s massively unprofessional. Other players who wanted to go may not have played the last few games before their moves but when they did they didn’t show such apathy for the club.

He just needs to leave now.
