The Sun say

EBERECHI EZE'S hopes of landing a dream move to Tottenham could be scuppered by the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino.

The £20million-rated midfielder has been tracked by the majority of Premier League clubs after making a huge impact in the Championship with Queens Park Rangers.

Spurs were at the head of the queue after Pochettino instructed his scouts to make detailed assessments of his game ahead of a potential bid in January.

But now that move is under threat following the club’s decision to axe the Argentine boss last month.

New manager Jose Mourinho has made a point of telling his current squad he is not immediately planning to make any new signings after taking charge.

Mourinho has been told there would be money available for him to make signings if he wants to when the transfer window opens next month.

But the Tottenham boss is keen to take his time to weigh up which areas of his squad need strengthening before he goes into the marker.

And that threatens to block any plans to firm up their interest in Eze with a bid in January.

Personally speaking, with no knowledge if we are pursuing him. It wouldn’t make sense to me, with the formation change etc. TN is one year older, and finding his feet, and GLC, Sess on bench at best at present. I don’t see him as a CE replacement neither. But a very good player. If we could hoard players then yes.

The formation change could just be Jose’s quick way of getting results, so I wouldn’t be quick to rule out potential transfers due to them not fitting Jose’s immediate term formation. Once the Christmas period settles and we’re back to long rests, then we may see a formation change. Our way of lining up suits us now but Bournemouth took advantage of our right side yesterday and went down that side the whole second half.

It's been a well known open door for quite a while now. Trippy spotlighted it devastatingly.

From what I understand he is a quick attacking midfielder. We have Son, Moura and Sessegnon for that role.

If my understanding is correct then we should only buy if we think his ceiling is really high.

He doesn’t get loads of itk but when he does he’s very rarely wrong
He/She(?) is extremely reliable when it comes to in/out of our youth team. LilywhiteRose also mentioned that "Discussions have also taken place with one or two Spurs players to join Rangers as part of any deal."

Playing for the England U21s with Oliver Skipp and Sessegnon. Getting a talented home grown player is never bad. We've missed out on too much talented young players like grealish, maddison exc when they were in the championship so I would take him 100%.
