Fat fingers...
Yea he was fine, then had a few injuries an along came Carrick but otherwise he did quite well reallyI had completely forgotten he had ever existed until I saw your post. He was decent for us I seem to remember (though I could be misremembering).
There has to be some value in having a budget away from normal first team funds to buy players like this lad, get him loaned out for a few seasons and see how he develops. 4 players at £15m is the same as 1 Ndom and look where that’s got us

SC: Stop buying the cheap players with potential and just combine that money into one established signing.
Also SC: Stop putting all the transfer cash into into one big signing and spread it around to young players with potential.
Yeah, none of Joe Cole, Arjen Robben, Wesley Sneijder, Mesut Ozil or Eden Hazard had success under Jose. He ruined them and the world never got to enjoy their flair and creativity because they were just too talented for Mourinho to pick.
Differing opinions on a fan forum. Who’d have seen that coming?SC: Stop buying the cheap players with potential and just combine that money into one established signing.

If we don’t get him I would assume it’s because budgets are too tight to be speculative this summer
i would much rather we have a team of young and hungry players than these superstar types who cost a fortune and don’t show up.
By all accounts, or by one account from a QPR supporter? You have totally missed my point. It’s not about JM not liking flair, it’s about him not tolerating players who do not follow his defensive shape orders. The players you mention are / were all disciplined team players who did whatever Jose told them to. Joe Cole had to be ‘broken’ first and put back together again by Jose, similar to what he appears to be trying to do with Ndombele. By all accounts Eze is not very committed to defensive shape or tracking players (a bit like JM experienced with Pogba and Martial at United). Unlike Moura, Son, Lamela and Bergwijn who all put proper shifts in to execute Jose’s plan for any specific game. So I personally think he is not suited. I’d love to be proved wrong, as Eze is a fantastic talent, but there is no point buying him if JM will not use him this coming season.
I have read a few things saying Eze is worried he would not get enough game time with us. An understandable concern given our number of attacking playersI still reckon we’ve got our oar in.
Best place for it, reallyI still reckon we’ve got our oar in.
