I’ll always admire Levy for getting the stadium built. That was some achievement that not many people could have got done.

But he sounds like a broken record in those Trust minutes. The same old messages, no acceptance of any mistakes made in the last three years. I honestly think the club is sleepwalking into the wilderness.

I've always thought it was a case of get the stadium built and then kick on. It looks.like we built the stadium and now more of the same.

No champions League this year means less investment in the squad and less attractive to new signings.

We are literally arsenal post stadium build. We sacked our Wenger and down we go.

Surely our net spend has changed in the last two windows. New signings take a while to settle in and make an impact but changes are there.

I'm responding to the thst notes. He said no change. When we don't have champs league it's about 100m difference in revenue.

Divide that money over the 4 windows we didn't spend and it's not the same pic.

Fair enough, thought your post was just in general.

They're not going to try any different approach to win things, so we shouldn't pay through the nose to watch them pay lip service to the word ambition ("fierce" ambition, no less!) whilst not really having the tools/will to achieve it.

Stop giving ENIC your cash.

The thing is it's not only that we haven't spent money, it's that what we spent we did so unwisely. Since the purchase of Son, we have barely done a thing right until buying GLC.

I wouldnt read much into those minutes. You arent going to get any specifics out of DL in a meeting with the supporters trust.

I mean besides him literally saying that no champions league would have a big effect on our ability to spend which in reality is what people care most about information wise from the club.

TBF that's pretty obvious, would be the same at almost all clubs.

doest this show that there is something fundamentally wrong with how we scout players and certainly how we go about buying players.

Think pretty much everyone can see this barring Daniel Levy..

By all accounts we are trying to act/become one of Europe’s ”super clubs” and infrastructure wise we are up there. But the way the actual football side of the club is run is like a bottom tier premiership club.

I'd say let's wait and see but you say almost all clubs but those clubs which we compete with don't rely almost solely on champions league revenue/outgoings to fund their spending like we do and we have also seen examples of clubs in our league spending a lot despite not being in the champions league; Chelsea in their first season with Conte, Liverpool under Klopp, Arsenal in recent seasons and this season and United this season.

As I say we have to wait and see what that means for us but our rivals have shown a willingness to spend when out of the champions league in order to get back in.

What I don’t get is why wouldn’t they sell now and cash in. He’s basically said it’s all about adding equity. Well how much more does he realistically think he can add ? There’s got to be somewhere for a new owner to take it or why would they bother buying it. Right now just seems the perfect time to sell because there’s still more a new owner could do to take it to the next level which is actually a European super club. Unless he’s got something up his sleeve like an NFL franchise.

The minutes don’t read great. I’m a little disappointed that it doesn’t look like Enic won’t invest some of their own money to refresh the team. Yes they aren’t taking dividends, but at some point when they do cash in, they will come into a serious windfall. Hiding behind FFP is a joke of an excuse, we know there are way around it.

Anyway, il reserve my ranting until I’ve seen 2 summers transfer windows. If by that point we are still struggling to compete in the market, failing to make the signings that we need to push on, then Il be slightly less understanding, considering the amount of return they will stand to make from their initial investment.
