Tottenham fear Christian Eriksen will reject attempts to sell him in January in a move that will further frustrate Mauricio Pochettino.
The Spurs manager is believed to be annoyed that Eriksen has remained at the club despite the midfielder making it clear throughout the summer that he wanted a fresh challenge.

No problem with him leaving on a free. It happens when a contract runs down. The only problem is not playing to full potential while the contract is still running.

Dump him in with the kids, keep him well away from the first team squad. That goes for any other player with the same ideas.

This a 1000 times over !
It makes me so mad that any professional would do this and it breaks my heart as he has seemed great until the last few months

Fine if he's staying, just give everything he can. If he can't do that, make sure he stays at home, and doesn't come anywhere near the first team squad.

If Poch is frustrated with the fact he won’t go in January, and considering Eriksen is hardly playing like a man giving his all, then he should be letting him know that his first team opportunities, at best, will be limited and at worst, zero.

Cmon people - it's the Daily Fail, which means no real journalism, no quotes or any shred of evidence on values. I echo what others are saying that he should be professional and play his best - but this story is just speculative tosh.

Should he leave he want to leave on a free thats down to him, but surely a club could be persuaded, or encouraged to pay a rather nominal fee for him to leave sooner rather than later.

I agree that I would shove him in the reserves, as well as Wanyama. Both have been poor.

Concerted efforts need to be to trim the squad right down, so that its as lean as possible. Its seem we're the only ones who have more than 2 x fullbacks & 3 x DM's, yet no other pace players in the wide areas.

As shit as he's been, I think we shouldn't completely write off Eriksen this season. He's never been a bag egg and his bad form is far from an Adebayor-esque downing of tools. Given he'll almost certainly be here until the summer and he'll want to put himself in the shop window, we should try to get this best out of him, as he could easily be the difference between us finishing 4th and finishing 5th.

I think he just needs to be dropped for a while, especially when Lo Celso is available, so he's forced to fight his way back into the side.

The combination of lack of focus and piss poor form is enough to see him out of the picture for me. He's obviously not interested in being here and it shows, so give his place to somebody who wants to wear the shirt.

If he continues in his awful form drop him. People should be in the team on merit. If Real Madrid want him after his sulking and wretched performances they must be mad.

Old news - we all know what he is doing. What grates is him half arsing his way to free agent status and to a lesser extent that he can get away with that and still potentially earn himself a big move when any club should be shying away from a player who is not giving it his all.

As it stands, I would not give him the opportunity to continue his awful form. If he wants his free transfer at the expense of everything else he can twiddle his thumbs from now on as far as I'm concerned.

What is Eriksen not doing so well? I certainly notice a {negative} difference when he is not in the starting line-up.
we NEED HIM PLAYING ....at least until the other stars get going.

I wouldn't want him around the kids, not with his poisonous attitude. Just imagine if there'd been an Eriksen type of player at the club 7-8 years ago, and his negative attitude had rubbed off on a teenaged Harry Kane, for instance. It doesn't bear thinking about.

What ever happened to signing a new contract if Real didn't come in for him? That's what disappoints me

There’s no denying that he’s a great player and seemingly a nice fellow too, but he is screwing our club, he has no intention of signing a contract, so personally I’d like him to go as soon as possible.

I agree about him going although it's more from the point of view that he's obviously not going to be in the team next season so I'd rather see someone who will be.
