A lot more half empty stadiums as the tickets for flights go mental all over Europe for a month not only affecting the fans of the countries but also the innocent traveller who happens to be going somewhere at that time.

The cost of airfare during tournements for England especially is horrendous. It sickens me how they are allowed to get away with it.

So I like the idea but the practicallitys for me are crazy and the cost would kill the tournament.

As long as all of the countries hosting don't get automatic berths...I dislike these dual country euros already, since two teams (who probably would not have qualified otherwise) take two spots. If spreading it around means NO automatic berths, I'm for it...

That and no technology in football... What is with this guy? How can anyone want to stay in the dark ages? And euros across 20 countries? Wtf? I do not understand what is going on in world football, really would want to be a fly on the wall in those meetings.

stupid stupid idea...

12 countries? or 12 stadiums within a country? seriously... how many choices do you have for countries with 12 world class venues? England, Italy, Spain, Germany................

and the teams will have to fly from one city/country to the next, find a temporary base to train. plus... you need to keep finding neutral countries that have pretty much similar geographical distance from the 2 countries, or you risk favoring one nation over the other.

really doesn't make much sense if you ask me. might as well call it the European International League or something, with home and away matches, and forget about qualifying and stuff.

It's hilarious that Sepp "living in a cave" Blatter is now supposedly a big fan of goal line technology, after being the principle impediment to it for all those years

How about you let all 53 countries host starting say in 2018 then take the best 16 and get them all together in one country in 2020?

A lot of narrow minded thinking on this reference the logistics

We have just had a tournament which had 2 venues ( Gdansk and Donetsk ) nearly 2000 km apart

For 2018 in Russia some of the venues will be over 3000 km apart

In 1994 in USA some of the venues were over 3000 km apart

Now imagne a Tournament where the venues are Paris, Amsterdam, London, Dublin, Cardiff, Glasgow, Brussels, Barcelona, Dortmund and Milan , I think that could work. Obviosuly all participants would have to qualify

Glasgow - Barcelona at 2 1/2 hrs flight ( 1 300 km ) would be the longest distance to travel

I think it merits discussion, you could have Group A in say London, group B based in Paris etc. and a nominated country for semis and finals.
