If a team has a leaky defence we should in theory win, as we have Kane that is clinical, plus goals in midfield, plus a tight defence.

But Im nervous about this one. Everton will raise their game.

We could win 4 they couldn't, we could win 3 they couldn't, we could win 2 they probably won't, we could win 1-0 so could they and same goes for 2-1 so, if we can score 3 or 4 goals we win and if we score 2 we won't lose.
Trouble is I reckon it's going to be close so 1-0 or 2-1 either way, my money's on us but I wouldn't risk too much on it.
I think Arsenal's result vs Southampton shows that any result could happen, however unlikely. Very hard game to predict. They've been scoring for fun and our defence is the best. A score draw I reckon.

The form guides are out the window this season.

Feeling extremely nervous for this one, very like I felt for the West Ham game... Fingers crossed for a similar result!

Quietly confident we'll take all 3 points.
I think it's all about executing the game plan - it's no coincidence they've only won 3 in 10 at home this season. Glaring weaknessss in the defensive aspects of their game.

Also our Belgian CBs will have a plan to stop Lukaku as they should know his weaknessss well.

If we show tactical maturity and bring our work rate - it's a game we should win.

Toby and especially Jan have a good record against Lukaku, sstanding off him a little to nullify his pace. Hopefully that continues today.

At the other end itthink kanehas the edge on their cbs, and should escape once or twice to decide the game in our favour. their fbs are a handful but they will leave space behind for lamela, eriksen and son if he gets the nod. One nil, Kane, just like last time at their gaff.

they get done on the break a lot when they push on at home, stones, Baines, barry etc.. Are not quick enough.

Really hoping Son starts to add some potential spark up front, plus he'll be confident after his winner. I would start Rose in this to try and nullify their pace out wide too.

I just can't call this game. They're not picking up the points they should be at all but every time I've seen Everton this season they've looked good and I've always been left to wonder how they haven't scored more than they had managed too, like in their games against Norwich and Newcastle. They even reminded me of us in the Harry days when watching them at times, so much talent going forward but with a frailty in the team also that holds them back.

Everton are a good attacking team so a clean sheet will be tough, but they have also shipped more goals than almost everyone not in the relegation zone. 3-1 Spurs, Lennon nailed on for a goal or assist if he starts.

Try as I might, for some reason I just cannot see us winning this game. I have a terrible feeling that this is going to be one of those days where everything goes right for them and we get done 2-0 or 3-1. Hope to hell I'm just being pessimistic- but I've had this one nailed on as a loss from the start.

I just worry that their central midfield is very combative and that us missing dembele will really hurt us today. It might leave Dier up against a couple of Barry and besic.

But going forward, like others have said, if we are clinical in front of goal then we could do well. I'm wondering if we might see chadli feature heavily today.

I think this match is incredibly hard to call. Everton can score lots but should hopefully concede a few as well.

I agree Dembele is a big loss but Barry ain';t getting any younger and he's played a lot over the festive period - so their midfield may look a little fatigued come the second half.

Where as some of our options could be a little fresher - Dier aside.

Their 9 points off 4th, that's us, they have a couple of injuries, and a SF on Thursday. Suggest we get stuck in from the start and see how many of them have prioritised a possible final with Liverpool.

Unlikely it will make a difference, but you never know!

It's today, right?

Dembele is a loss for us, I would expect Alli to drop back in with Dier. Son taking his place further forward. I think the rest pick themselves at the moment.

Alli is combative, quick of mind and of body, hopefully he will annoy the hell outta Barry, give him the run around, and get Barry booked or at least catch him out of position once. Fingers crossed for today, a win would rubber stamp a great Xmas for us.

Hope Besic doesn't play. He's a dirty fucker and Oliver won't have the bottle to send one of them off in front of their moaning, baying masses.

Nervous for this one, I know everton aren't in the best of form especially defensively at the moment but they will be looking to bounce back after the stoke game and with lukaku in the form of his life, both Toby and Jan need to be on top of their game to try and nullify the threat he poses in front of goal. Barkley is also dangerous, dier will need to keep a close eye on him and not let him see much of the ball.

We can win this game but I'm going for a draw.

I think there could be cards galore in this game. Alli is one who's been walking a tightrope recently.

With their semi-final game against Man C on Wednesday night fast approaching, I don't think they will risk messing and roughing us up that much and risking missing that very important game in the process. Make no mistake, Mr Oliver is no mug and he is not one to fear taking the appropriate measures with anyone who steps out of line. So, I reckon they will try and avoid any confrontation with us as much as possible.
Hence if we are up for it, move the ball around and play the high pressing game as we have been doing so well lately, I really think we have a very good chance to win it today. We need to stop them from passing the ball into Lukaku from the midfield area and whoever plays out wide midfield for us today have to work their socks off and track back with Coleman and Baines whenever they venture forward, as they always seek to do.

If we maintain the required high energy levels till the end, we will all be very happy lot come 6 pm tonight.
