Can't remember who it was we played in Europa when we started with Son up front, but he looked great and scored two (?) I believe. People are writing Son off when he makes appearances from the bench. I'd like to see him start up front, he really impressed me in that game. He looked dangerous in the box. If it really looks like it isn't working, we can bring on a fresher Kane (who looked knackered second half today).

With Vardy injured their attacking threat is somewhat nullified anyway (not counting my chickens of course though), so could be a good game to try this again.
It was with N'jie though and I think best side for Leicester we want to close that gap on them.

Carroll is like a fly half in rugby. They are brilliant when they have the ball but can struggle when they don't. He is a very good passer much better than Dembele but everything else isn't as good. I can't see him being here in a years time.
That's great, you know, that you're a qualified clairvoyant, but let's just wait and see. He's not going to show his qualities in a few games; Bale didn't, nor did Kane.

Decent point. My heart was doing summersaults in the last 10 minutes or so.

Should of killed them of first half.

Should have planned from September 1st

That logic presumably means every other team in the league is equally in line for criticism considering no signings have been made at all yet.

Once again an agenda clouds any effort to see sense.

Well no, we were beyond desperate for a Kane back up, so much so we bid 23 million in Berahino with an hour to go. So from that moment we should be fully planning if we can get a striker for this window

10 point from 12 over christmas isnt a bad return, unlucky in the first half to be drawing, but overall a point is a decent result given the way the second half panned out. Harry looked a but tried, but that was 4 game in how many days in what is already a long season without a real break.
Any nice wee break now until the FA cup, and hopefully we see movement in the window in this period. What is going to cost us 3rd is not signing a proper back up option to Harry.

Terribly unlucky to not score those two woodwork chances, then for Everton to score on their first foray into our half, of course it had to be azza, compounded our bad luck. But we kept going and could've won it.

10/12 points is a brilliant return, no complaints from me

Just looking at the replay of lennon goal and Jan turned his back away from the shot....now he is getting paid alot of money to take a ball to the face!!!

Other than that I thought we done very well, 1st half we bossed it and should have gone in at 3-1. Second half they just edged it i feel but you could clearly see we were tired.

We lost a bit of creativity when Eriksen went off.

God knows why there are so many complaints over this game. Dembele being out was a massive loss, but instead of allowing that to hurt us we went out in the first half and dominated.

If we had scored first I suspect we would have kept on pushing and in all likelihood won the game. Instead we went behind against the run of play but admirably stuck to our guns and forced ourselves back into the match. It was for the most part an excellent 45 minutes, and the much maligned Tom Carroll was certainly a part of that.

Fatigue and a better-drilled Everton side changed the dynamic of the match in the second half. Everton came out fighting, as you'd expect of a team that is under pressure due to some recent poor results at home. They have some great players so this was never likely to be a one-sided walkover. The fact that we made it look that way in the first half is to our credit, and cause for a lot of optimism for the rest of the season.

Yes we got a bit of a battering at the very end of the match, but we will now be mentally stronger for getting through it. I think we had the best record of any team over the Christmas matches (notorious for being difficult due to congestion), so I'm very happy with that.

I understand the disappointment of it being 'two points dropped', but that's obviously better than gaining a scrappy or undeserved point in a difficult fixture.
