We've had multiple chances to win this cup over the last 10 years but haven't delivered. The Portsmouth semi, the 2 Chelsea semis, the Man Utd semi. We've blown it every time and only have ourselves to blame

Poch never cared about the cups, it was all about the league and finishing in the Champions league. For us that was like winning a trophy. I am sure Mourinho will think differently.

I'm not gonna feel sorry for myself or the Chavs for that matter, when have they ever helped us out ? Never ! We must have known the Chavs would stuff it up so it's good that we weren't solely relying on them.
Thankfully we ended up finishing 6th and not 7th, yes it means extra qualifying rounds but it would have been a whole lot worse if this had seen us dumped out thanks to the Gooners, we wouldn't have heard the last of it from them.

Well to be fair, if Chelsea didn't beat Wolves we wouldn't be in Europe at all this season..

They were always going to win today. As annoying as it is, at least I made money out of it. It was so obvious they’d win it today.

Fair point, but we still had to get something from the Palace game so to that extent we weren't entirely relying on them, and they were never going to risk losing that Wolves game and drop out of.
I would have been more concerned had we finished 7th and so it proved to be the case.

It's not bad luck that we never won a trophy under Poch. We had 2 finals and 2 semi-finals and we bizarrely didn't turn up to any of them. He didn't help either by saying 'trophies are only for the ego'.

Wasn't the cleverest thing to say as a coach was it.
I would hope any coach would be saying this is a now.or never game. This will live in your memory forever so make it count, not fk it who cares.
Really pissed me off his constant comments regarding cups. Because of it I said a few years back he may as well fk off now because we'll never win anything while Poch is in charge. Turned out I was right unfortunately. Winning breeds a winning mentality. Staggering he didn't seem to grasp that. Maybe thats why players stopped listening to him in the end.

Another reason why it was right to sack him. Don't get me wrong, he had us playing great but comments like this trip a manager up

Arsenal are an inherently lucky team. We are the opposite. Luck is key for Cup wins.

I know the media is giving Arteta plaudits but the key moments in todays game came down to poor refereeing and Chelsea losing 2 key players to hamstring injuries.

It is sickening that they won so many FA Cups in a period where we have been a superior team. I hope Mourinho can shithouse his way to a cup for us next season, I want to celebrate us winning something again.

We were not unlucky when we won it 8 times .

What has changed down the years I wonder ?

Just seen a stat that since we last won the League Cup/a trophy, Arteta has played 91 games for Everton, signed for Arsenal, played 150 games and lifted two FA Cups for them, retired, worked under Pep at City for three years, then joined Arsenal again as manager and won the FA Cup... and now I hate everything.

I love Poch and always will haha but Jose, as much as i think his football is utter shite, would have instilled the mentality of winning trophies - no trophy is too small even the community shield or whatever it is called nowadays.

It is damning that Arteta has won more than Poch - and he has been a coach/manager for all of six months or so.

Can harry kane do what aubamyeng or drogba did in fa cup knockout games? Either he will be injured by the time we play fa cup final or he will be half fit just like ucl final contributing the factor that led to not winning trophies ...
