Last year in the 3rd round against Blackpool. They then went out in the next round against United.... so the game before last.

And the season before that in the 3rd round against Notts Forest, which they lost 4-2.

Ah, the magic of the cup, where teams with zero chance of winning anything except possibly the FA Cup field weakened teams in the FA Cup.

It’s no wonder attendances are so low, just watching MOTD and Cardiff vs Carlisle is played out in front of empty stands. The trouble is, the gap between the top clubs and the rest is such that there’s no real chances of a smaller team winning the cup these days, and even if they did the rewards are so meagre that the likes of Villa, or West Ham are better off resting players to try and ensure their league survival, ditto those in the championship.

The FA Cup can’t compete with the riches of the league anymore sadly.
