The journalist shared what he’s heard about the 52-year-old.

“What we can say about Luis Enrique is an important update, at the moment the internal feeling at Chelsea is that they have cooled their interest in Luis Enrique as a head coach for next season. It’s not over yet, but at the moment the feeling is different. They have had many conversations after sacking Potter and Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique were the main ones. What happened is that in the last round of talks, Chelsea were not happy with some of the points, the feeling was not right. So let’s see what happens,” Romano said.

“We know that Luis Enrique is appreciated at Tottenham, but he’s not the only one and it’s important to mention that Luis Enrique has also been approached by some national teams.”

As bad as Chelsea are, I have more faith in them hiring the right manager…

It's interesting that Chelsea are a bigger mess than us , the chairman is getting involved left right and centre, they have massive squad issues and yet were seemingly playing second fiddle.

If Enrique is making demands Chelsea are baulking at then no chance we bite.

Not sure. Chelsea are a mess. Reports are that Boehley goes into the dressing room on game days regularly and even called out one of the big players in front of everyone.

Perhaps Enriques crazy demand was.....the owner shouldn't march into the dressing room and start doing team talks.

Can't imagine why any manager would be keen to go there with Boehly playing FIFA in real life and making a proper pig's ear of it. People can moan all they want about Levy but he doesn't barge into the dressing room every 5 minutes, and I'm sure he doesn't think he knows as much about football as Boehly does, which is obviously next to fuck all.

If that is the case then Naglesmann would have also walked away, as would any self respecting coach.

It 100% is the case. There's multiple reports of it from lots of reliable journos. It was also one of the reasons tuchel wanted out.
