makes sense to me. If they are going to have them play 10 games in 4 weeks they will need more options to rest and rotate. personally, I dont think they should finish the season, but they want the TV money.

They’ll end up playing two games (enough for Liverpool to wrap up the title) then somebody in one of the support teams will show symptoms and it’ll all be closed off with no relegation. Only area for debate will be the European places

Makes sense. I don't think people realise exactly how hectic the first half of next season in particular is planned to be. Outside of international breaks, the team that enters Europa qualifying (relatively likely to be us!) will play every weekend and every midweek till Christmas - indeed, if they participate in the League Cup as normal too, they'll have some double-midweeks (a Sunday-Tuesday-Thursday-Sunday schedule). On top of that, the off-season will be shorter than normal, as little as 3 weeks for clubs still in this season's Europa or Champions Leagues. And to top it off, two of those international breaks are going to feature 3 games in the time they'd normally only play 2. Similar story in all domestic leagues - it's going to be scheduling chaos so I dare say those substitutions will be needed.
