Not sure what it's point is? Comes across as a bit sour whilst distorting the facts.

It's been 14 years since ENIC took over, missed out the new training 'city' and the lilywhite house development.

As for matchday tickets, the minimum wage when ENIC took over was £3.60 p/h for adults. It's now £6.50 - which is an 80% increase. Because of that, it's fair to say that the cheapest ticket price increase is well below growth - probably even more so when you take into account the increase in personal allowance has more than doubled from £4,385 in 2001 to £10,000 now.

Edit: Some figures based on working a 38hr week on NMW:

In 2001/02 tax year

£3.60 (NMW) * 38 (hrs/week) * 52 (weeks/year) = £7114 p/a

£592.83 gross / £542.68 take home pcm

in 2014.15 tax year

£6.50 (NMW) * 38 (hrs/week) * 52 (weeks/year) = £12844 p/a

£1070.33 gross / £974.05 take home pcm

Cheapest ticket price in ENIC's first full season was £22 for a non-PL seat (£29 for PL) in the North Lower (link)

I think it's £32 in the North Lower at it's cheapest this season (link), which is a about a 45% increase, or just a tenner in real terms. Even if we played at home four times a month, 2015's minimum wage supporter would still be about £400 better off each month than 2001's.

This and owning the arch has made this a great season

This made me snort tea out of my nose! :ROFLMAO:

We're clearly on the right path, I am sure of that. I just hope Levy can hold his nerve for a couple of years and keep our coach and our best, more experienced players so our philosophy is not broken up (like when the Arnesen/Jol axis was broken up when Chelsea poached the former) and so our exciting youth players have players to look up to whilst they develop.

In fact, a Naybet-type buy in each position (DF, MF, ST) would be ideal. Even if he didn't play much, can you imagine if Bentaleb and Mason had someone like Xavi on the training ground with them (like when Carrick had Davids). They would learn so much.

The likes of Lloris, Vertonghen and Eriksen need to stay. Keep the spine and build around it with as many of our talented youngsters as we can.

Future is bright, definitely.

All that really points out is that there are many morons on Twatter.

Totally agreed.

The only thing that can be levelled at Levy is that he has, on 3-4 occasions (Hoddle, Santini, Ramos & AVB) hired badly.

He has also trusted some utter morons with the club's money, who have subsequently wasted it on too many average players.

I honestly hope that this experience does not affect his confidence in backing Poch/Mitchell with the players they identify. Because I think they know a good player when they see one.

Having said that, the likes of Lennon, Bale, Modric, Carrick, Berbatov, Lloris and Eriksen didn't turn out to be bad investments!

It's not Levy's fault that, when asked which strikers he wanted, Harry Redknapp spends almost £30m on Crouch and Defoe!

That list is a nonsense though, who the fuck do they think we are, Man Utd or something?!?

We'd have killed for that average league finish in the 90s and if you take the last 5 years our average finish is probably closer to 5th, which is fucking outstanding given some of the insane money now in this league!

Our wages were around £30mill a year when Enic took over and now they're around £90mill. These figures are just off the top of my head so may be a little wrong but whether it's a 200% increase or 150% increase it's still a lot more than the ticket rise they're complaining about.

Are our ticket prices to expensive? Sure they are but it's a problem across the game in England. You can't just pick up on any problem and say Levy is the cause for it, believe it or not, the blame doesn't alway lie with him. Same with the stadium stuff, what's he supposed to do?

Oh I think I can find a bit more than that :D

But

A: There's no point in rehashing it all again

and

B: I can't be arsed

Oh and

C: I'm very handsome and extremely well hung :cautious:

:D

Good, because you most likely would have been right and I wouldn't have been arsed to provide a counter argument!

In short (quite literally), Levy is a weird, awkward little man.

But he's our weird, awkward little man! :playful:

I do agree, but we both know there are some who will do no matter what he does.

The 44 shirts made me laugh. If you think there are too many shirts, don't buy them.

I don't buy them because they are badly made, look cheap and I am no longer a 12 year old.

I have no problem at all with the club making money from selling club merchandise and constantly refreshing the products.

Every clothes shop on the High Street does this, it's how they get you back through the door.

Ultimately no one forces anyone to buy any consumer goods, it's always your choice.

And if your kid is pestering you to buy a new one each year, sit them down and teach them the value of money.

Is that tangible assets? Does that include player valuations?

Net assets will include all assets (both tangible and intangible ) less total liabilities. Can't analyse it properly though until the full results are released.

Player valuations will be intangible assets though........and in the case of Ade and Soldado that's quite accurate :D.
