First Monreal, now Mkhitaryan. Who needs depth, anyway.

I thought it was crazy that Mkhitaryan came on the pitch yesterday, especially replacing Lacazette who was playing so well. Him leaving today just makes that even weirder.

Am I the only one who thought Mkhitaryan was one of their better midfielders?

Are they literally planning on just having a starting 11 and then an under 18's squad this season?

Strange decision, I can see them struggling with squad depth once the season gets going and we are all playing 2 games a week, couple injuries to that starting XI and it won't look good for them.

Mkhitaryan has been crap for a while now. I don't think hes been good since he came to this league.

It would be facinating to see how well a squad comprising of freebies would do in the PL, or Championship

I guess the issue is (i) age and (ii) bringing 20 odd players together for the first time and excepting them to gel.

and (iii) if they've had to join some cobbled together "freebies all stars" team to get any playing time, the chances are they're either shite or injured all the time, or in fact both.

Are we still talking about Arsenal?

Tierney (injury prone) and Luiz(shite) fit those two tags perfectly.

To be fair, when your competition is Ozil, Guendouzi and Xhaka being poor is pretty good.
I wouldn't piss on Guendouzi quite so much after yesterday tbh. He was their leader by example and probably best player.

I was shocked when Mkhitaryan came on for Lacazette. Yes they scored right afterwards but it did play a part in killing their momentum, especially once we belatedly brought on Lo Celso and got more of a midfield footing. Mkhitaryan was poor, as he almost always has been since he left Dortmund.

PSG bringing in Icardi & Navas today. They are going to be really strong this season. But still expect them to fall out in the quarter finals somehow.

Lacazette was subbed as an injury precaution

Yeah I heard, my point was more why bring Mkhitaryan on at all, rather than Willock or Nelson, especially if they knew there was a chance of him leaving today. Both those kids have shown more in pre-season and the opening games than Mkhitarhan.

RB Leipzig confirms that they've made an official bid for RB Salzburg's Erling Haaland.
Doesn't the new rule in CL this year let a player who has already featured in the CL for his previous club, also makes him eligible to play for his new club in the same season?

That's correct. Rafa Honigstein says its between them and Dortmund. Ignore all bs spouted about utd.

So, we could be facing him.
