He's taking an awful long time to get there...... :)

Nothing new has happened, the bloke in the DM says they've agreed personal terms, that would have happened weeks ago.

Raph Honigstein said on today's TFS pod that Dortmund won't change their valuation and I think they've given Manure about 1 more week to put up or shut up, maybe they will/maybe they won't.

He’ll end up there unfortunately. Too much smoke and time to get it done. Dortmund know Woodward is shite at negotiating and will pay the price they want in the end like he always does with every transfer. It’s just a matter of time for them.

If Dortmund do sell Sancho to United, I can see them turning their attention to Marcus Edwards. They'll give him the support and platform to show his ability in a more competitive league and then 3-4 years from now, if Edwards does fulfill his potential, sell him for another absurd fee to an English club. Rinse, repeat.

Remember all the itk that we wanted Sancho as part of the Walker deal to City and that Sancho was interested in coming our way, skipping returning to City for pre-season. Think the explanation was City were not going to sell to a rival and so were willing to pay more for Walker to have. I would have taken a £10M hit on Walker if it means we got Sancho in exchange. Gutted that never happened.
problem is that Danny would happily take the extra cash. Imagine if he'd stood on principle and said - you lot tapped up Walker before an FA Cup semi final, if you want him, we buy Sancho, if not, Walker stays with us and Pep can look for another fullback. They'd have buckled because Pep wanted Walker and wouldn't have cared about Sancho coming to us. Would have sent a strong message. Instead the extra cash follows the path of Campbell, charity payments and more....fig leafs + money.

Is this guy the second coming of Messi. Only people hyping up this guy seems to be Spurs fans. Is he even that good?

And probably the fans at his current club Vitória S.C., where in his first season has scored 9 goals and assisted 9 across the Portuguese and Europa league. Outside of the numbers, he is the attacking spark in his team, as the best attacking moments have come from Marcus creating something from nothing. Still only 21 and English, if Edwards was transferred to Dortmund, they would give him the same platform as they did Sancho and reap the on the field and financial benefits down the line.

I don't understand why we wouldn't be in for him. I thought he was one of Jose's favorite players at Chelsea

Age and wages probably stumbling block #1 where Levy is concerned
Levy also probably still pissed about the whole saga where he nearly signed and ended up at Chelsea.
Mind you, maybe he's planning a similar trick - get Willian to verge of a medical with the Gooners then tempt him to sign for us.

The likes of Daniel James, and Martial will be getting restless at United if they sign Sancho. Still reckon James might be a decent signing if we could get him cheap enough, especially as we seem to being set up as a counter attack team.
Does he play from the right? I happen to be of the opinion that someone who does from the right what Son does from the left should be our main priority after Højbjerg. I'd possibly want someone more established than James though.

zero chance of James leaving - let alone to us - let alone cheap

Utd will have Rashford, Greenwood, Sancho and Martial, James and Igalo (bit random). Perhaps Jesse L is sold but two lines of 3 forwards will set them up very well.
Question still about whether Pogba stays but he probably remains for another year - Bruno, Pogba and Matic as their midfield 3 with Fred, McTominay and possibly Perriera (although he may leave) as their second line of midfielders.
Throw in a few other youngsters - they are looking very strong in the Mid/Attacking areas. Plus have a defined way of playing.
Think they need one more defender - someone who can provide some cover in 2-3 positions and should not loan their keeper back to Sheffield Utd. If they do that, they will be challenging for the top 3 for sure.

They have mata/bruno for number 10 role .. pogba / fred for number 8 and mctominay/matic for number 6 role ... Martial / ighalo for number 9, sancho/james as one wing option and lingard/ rashford as another wing option ...

Also rashford can play as number 9 when martial or ighalo is injured. So their squad is more or less perfectly balaned now ...

But they have vardy/ihenacho .. will trincao go there?
I'd fancy any Barca prospect to push Iheanacho out of the side, and Vardy for all his goals this season is the wrong side of 30 by some margin.

The deal is an absolute mess and a bit of a risk but if it works out Barca recoup a €20m profit on him without him ever playing for them which you have to say is good business.

And risk missing out on winning the Net Spend Cup, are you mad?!
