I can understand why it’s happening. Someone there behind the scenes is making themselves a nice bit of cash off these deals. That fullback from Southampton deal typifies something strange going on there.

I read before that it was actually nearer €40m
It’s supposedly around £21m + a potential £12m in add ons. Although these include some difficult stipulations such as Torres winning the Ballon d’or, golden boot, champions league, etc.

Happens at a lot of clubs I reckon, ourselves included.

That someone is Kia Joorabchian, agent for Willian and David Luiz before him and very close with Edu and Raul Sanllehi who call the shots at Arsenal now.

Talksport are claiming that Willian is getting a £10M signing on fee and £200k a week for 3 years at the goons.

And yet they're making 55 staff redundant.

Disgusting really.
