All fair points about potential in the Norwich defenders. And a good point about Robertson too. Although he was a quarter of the Hull defence. There’s talk of three quarters of the Norwich defence being £20m players. Don’t see it myself.
Didn't Harry Maguire go to Leicester at the same time as Robertson went to Liverpool? Hull got relegated that season but at least two of their defenders have gone on to be highly rated

Arsenal, Man City and Juventus are in a three-way battle for Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar who also played with Tanguy Ndombele.
The 22-year-old is reportedly 'adored' by City boss Pep Guardiola and L'Equipe claims Lyon want up to £54m for their French star.
A 3 way "battle?"
Arsenal, City and Juventus?

That’s fair. As it is, if Mourinho thinks any of these guys have the ability to play in a first team that is looking at winning cups, I’m fine with it. He knows more than me.

I think I’m just trying to get my head around the fact that a relegated fullback will cost more than what we signed Modric for. ?

Edit - although I do understand the concept of inflation before the flaming starts.

Not a transfer but there’s no way I couldn’t post this quote on RVP joining Feyenord staff.

Van Persie added: "I was supposed to join last season, but that didn’t happen. Dick called me and asked if I wanted to come. And you can’t say no to Dick."

Was looking at Inter forums about Ndombele deals and what not. But it really sounds that they feel there is a chance for Messi.

Personally, it would be pretty fun if it did. Recreate the whole Messi v Ronaldo thing in Serie A.

So they can't afford to pay for any players, but they think they can afford to pay for Messi? Even if he was free, that'd surely be a few hundred million commitment in contract

Yeh I doubt it's happening. Apparently they are looking for sponsorship. Inter are rich though, their owners are richer than abrahmovich, if they feel they can get past fair play they can afford him no problem!

Not willing to pay for N'dombele and not being able to are two different things!

This is all just a reaction to Messi's dad buying a bunch of real estate fairly close to either San Siro or Inter's training ground, I forget which.

Expect nothing to happen.

Can't see Messi ever going to another top league. Would love him in the Prem but just can't see it ever happening.

*searches for red cafe & The lets all laugh at united thread*

He’s laying down the law with those quotes. Man Utd missed the target date and didn’t want to pay the asking price. I suspect Pro Man U journalists here were saying the deal was a lot closer than it actually was just for clicks.

No way this Tsimikas fella is good enough for Liverpool. Squad player at best. Olympiakos are laughing all the way to the bank and back.

Yeah but they have this knack of turning average players into good ones, that's what happens when you have a good manager and good setup.

i thought it was pretty common knowledge that he did

Poor secret keeping.

It's a bit odd though. The article about his extension from last year quotes Bild - where Christian Falk is head of football - as Sancho doubling his wages but not extending beyond 2022.

So either the Bild has got it wrong or the Bild has got it wrong.
