Don't really care whether it's 5 or 50 million. All I want is another effective central striker in January.

Apparently Liverpool are intrested in Javier Pastore after his agent admited that he isn't happy at PSG. Could it be that we knew that with Andre's connections to PSG? He was sold to PSG for 42 mil € so they would want their money back but I am not sure he is worth 50 mil but surely would command big fee.

Liverpool are ready to launch a January bid for PSG playmaker Javier Pastore after the player’s agent admitted his client has grown unhappy with life in France. (Metro)

Would love to see Liverpool sell Suarez and spend it all on Pastore

Well it seems that the player wasn't/isn't Reus as according to this article (ok it is the Daily Star but it does have quotes) he has a release clause of around £34 mil. On a side note, if Arsenal get him I will be very depressed.

The very thought of a forward line of: Giroud
---------------------------------------Reus-Ozil-Walcott-----------------------------------------------
makes me nauseous. It is imperative we make Champions League this year in the context of les Arse's resurgent ambition and freed up funds.

I'd match that fee, have the chat and see how committed he really is. I think its pretty unlikely but what a difference he could make.

the cheaper, more viable option is shaqiri... surely he must want out of Bayern? Such a talent being wasted.

Shaqiri is getting game time, and he is likely going to be starting in a year or two. Bayern is on top of the world right now, I don't think he would be willing to leave. I could see him going to someone on loan in January though.

Exactly this, also, even if he wanted to come and BM where willing to sell he is another left footer. If we are looking to add another big talent to our midfield than i would think being a right footer who plays on the left would be our primary target. Reus would be much more the ideal player although i am sure we have just as much chance of signing ether.

Shaqiri won't leave. It'd be great to have him on an individual level, but the last thing we need is another left-footed winger.

The idea of the player having to be right footed, is that actual ITK or is that what guesses are because we are stacked in left-footed players?

The latter. Our record signing isn't even seeing much game time. We need a better option on the left side first.

Despite out rather well stacked midfield I would still absolutely love Draxler. However I agree with Snarf, I'm not sure he was referring to us as there was reported interest from City. Still, would be awesome if he came.
