Not sure if this has been posted in the thread yet but this video makes for some great viewing about 1 minute in. Note the 3-4 times Diallo makes Saliba look like an amateur and gets a goal and assist. Even better because I’m a bit sick of Arsenal fans wanking themselves to death over him.

Was triggered by the surprise reappearance of Yann M’Villa in this video. Those who’ve been around here for awhile will remember.

Here’s a Mourinho’esque type striker...

I'd be surprised if he wasn't at least on our radar - would be within our budget, and like you said, a very 'Mourinho' striker.

Also, the bloke is 6ft 6, only an inch smaller than Crouch yet he's got decent turn of pace on him and deceptivaly agile.

Thought Dragon's newest ITK would be referring to Diallo, but he's actually a year older than Ollie Watkins, so it must not be...

So if Diallo is now our main option, then we still have to sell/loan a foreign player before we can get him right (same with Daka)?

I’m fine getting this guy in, he matched Ollie Watkins total of 26 goals in the French 2nd league two years ago. Then this year he was 6th in Ligue 1 in goals scored behind only Mbappe, Neymar, Ben Yedder, Dembele, and even with Osimhen. Probably available for €15m.

No. We don't have to wait to sign anyone. We can just leave unwanted players out of the EL squad.

Exactly. We don’t need to make this over complicated. Just don’t include one of Gazzaniga, Foyth or Aurier on the list. We get to reset the roster Oct 5th anyway.

Great points. Also worth noting that his 12 goals sounds a lot better when you take into account the French season was cut short. At his rate of scoring he would've bagged another 5 or 6 if they'd played the full season.

I hope he's the one we push for.

For me his key selling points are that not only he does have the physical frame to hold up the ball and occupy defenders (which seemingly is key for Jose), but he also looks relatively quick/mobile whilst having decent technique as well. Basically qualities where Llorente and Janssen were very much lacking in their own ways.

I like look of this guy to be honest. Don’t need to tar everyone with the Njie and nkoudou brush.

Plus, as much as the French league is concerning, the issue with both the N’ boys was their pace being their main trait rendered them almost invisible. they weren’t anywhere near aggressive or physical enough so just got lost. Compare that to Diallo who captains his team and wins an insane amount of aerial duels, he’s going to be the opposite of shy. He’s not the biggest or strongest but I think challenging for everything is more important and he ticks that box.

The concern with Diallo is his adaptation to playing with Kane (not the paciest or great with interplay) and against deep blocks as he’s not used to that at all for Metz. And those are legit concerns, his technical skill isn’t game breaking and he’s not a spectacular or explosive striker of the ball.

Well, while I like this link I reckon the player that's under the hats of the ITK based on the numbers mentioned is Edouard. That'd be quite the player.
