I think people just look at the way we do business! You can sign players anytime. Just cannot transfer registrations until a window. Whereas we just start scouting and “considering” players when the window opens.

Yeah we employ a whole scouting department but only for 3 months of the year.

I think we are dependent on outgoings to degree and so more reactive in the transfer market than being proactive!

Pretty gutted we didn’t sign him but if we get a back up striker and another CM/ndombele and lamely regularly fit then we would have the following players for 3 positions so we probably don’t need him although it depends if lo celso will mainly be played as an 8 rather than a 10 and personally I think lamela needs to be moved on now for a new fresh signing who can stay fit.
