Agree 10 years ago it was a debate as to whether these young guys would make it at all, or play for England, BUT they are too similar to go to the same Championship club on loan.....

10 years later, one is our manager, the other England captain and on track to break all Spurs and Premier League scoring records (although he may be playing in Spain or Manchester next season).

One thing I will say is that if we develop him right, merely from the clips I've seen of him (I didn't make any academy matches last season I'm afraid, despite my regularity in previous years) Harry Kane looks like he might have the magic combination of goals and hold up play if we develop him right. He's not just doing well because he's bigger than all the other kids, from what I've seen he's great on the ball, can dribble despite not having much pace and can see a pass, and he scores pretty much every time he plays.

Can’t seem to find it!!!

Wasn’t until March 2014 that I realised we potentially had a star on our hands

Jokes aside, as if you trawl through a few threads from that time I’ve got far more misses than hits, I think it was around then that I really began feeling he’d be the real deal too. That final few fixtures under Sherwood where he just seemed to always be in the right place told me he was going to succeed. He didn’t even need to become this good, but thank God he did.

I distinctly remember a few years before that having to tell people on here that we shouldn’t sign Connor Wickham because we had a much better prospect in Kane.
