Started the EFL cup final today which Pompey lost 0-0 in penalties. I didn’t watch it, looks like White came off at half time as part of a triple-sub and the guy who replaced him missed his PK.

Although I haven't watched much of Pompey's games, other than those on Sky I do keep an eye on them and with White down there see how much game time he is getting.

The EFL loss saw the end of Jackett, White was subbed at HT as mentioned above. Following match v Peterborough he was an unused sub and with the new manager in for the weekend's game he didnt make the bench.

His loan move has coincided with a big down turn in form for Pompey. So far he has 12 appearances, 4 starts and 1 goal so I'm sure it will be a good experience for him.

Depends if Portsmouth get promotion or not. If not, he may well be ready for a championship loan.
This. The Cowleys are excellent coaches (still bizarre how they were dumped by Huddersfield) but if White's ready for a Championship season he shouldn't stay at Pompey in L1.

Their results are very good, I agree, and if I understood properly they saved Huddersfield from relegation but when asking for funds for the following season to start planning were told they weren’t req’d anymore. I think it has to do with their style of play which is more Wimbledon than Man City & Huddersfield wanted someone who played a more attractive type of football.
Much the same reason as Lincoln let them go, although results at Lincoln had started to go against them.

Felt this deserved to be posted. Excellent free-kick.

Great free kick. Oh for the days when we had a good reliable direct free kick taker. Let's see if Dier can keep the job and get us scoring. He took a brilliant one in the last minute at Palace last season which was brilliantly tipped over the bar.

Not entirely surprised by this decision, as Harvey has been training with the 1st team on a consistent basis and looks to have impressed Conte enough to keep him around for the rest of the season. Would have preferred a loan so he can get consistent 1st team minutes but i'll trust Conte with this decision.

Would be excellent man management if Conte gives Harvey a cameo on Saturday against Brighton (5 subs allowed) having just blocked several good loan opportunities for him.

I get what you mean but It's sounds like a punishment when you put it like that :ROFLMAO: Conte making this decision will signal to Harvey that he has an opportunity to impress and hopefully get some minutes in the FA Cup and maybe the league, if they re-instate the 5 sub rule. He's had pretty productive season for the U23's as well.
