I absolutely miss it, regardless of how poor we’ve been this season. Going to Spurs is what I do with my dad and has been since, well, the last time Spurs were poor.

No.
Haven't had time yet.

When I first retired I was more busy than when I was working for several months,
all those jobs and schemes that had accumuated over the years
and Mrs jimmyG2's face with that 'now what's your excuse' look.

Doesn't seem quite as important at the moment.

Wasn't happy about it... Been a spurs supporter since the 80's. Sure it's nice to win something now and again but it's not the be all and end all.

Poch probably had to go, but Jose?

......... and this is why i stayed away, I find posters that just winge and moan all the time about Levy, or Poch, or Jenas, or FFS Dele a bore and didn't want to turn into one. I decided I couldn't enjoy a Jose team so instead of it making me miserable and wringing on the internet I'd just wait him out. My club will still be here when he's gone.

Only popped back this week to check in on everyone and wish everyone good health etc (and a bit of a distraction from home schooling and work).

I miss playing it. If we'd have been performing consistently well, then I would probably miss watching it, too.

Personally I have missed it because it's a big part of me and a few of my mates lives, we watch together, talk about it and it generally is a huge social thing for us.

Yes but not Spurs, the club have absolutely sucked the joy out of us fans, & judging by the latest reports, next season will be exactly the same with little money to work with.

I don't want to derail this thread but...

The break is a relief in all honesty. Just goes to show how worked up we all get.

Tell you what though, this really puts things in perspective.

It's disgusting the money in football, it really is, when you look at all the hard working people out there making life changing contributions to society at the moment.

So many 'real life' heroes out there who won't even see a fraction of what some of these lot earn in a week.

Football needs to come crashing back down to earth with more and more starting to resent the obscene money that drives it.

It really bugs when people take this stance and always use football as the target, what about the many other industries that generate the same if not more money?

Why are footballers always the villain in these scenarios?

No matter the industry, if your in a position where you can negotiate a contract and your employer or potential employer offers you the terms that you want - good for you. No one was held up at gunpoint during negotiations.

It's not a footballers fault that other industries don't pay their employees more or what they deserve.

Have I missed professional football - No
Have I missed my son playing on Sunday mornings - Absolutely... All the results from the season have been voided, their run to the county cup final no longer exists and they won't get a medal of any sort. For kids these are potentially once in a lifetime opportunities. Sure, in the grand scheme of things right now it's nothing, but they can't even train/play with their mates at the moment.
We will still have the memory of him saving a penalty in the semi final shootout, even if it no longer counts for anything.

I miss playing football every week.

I miss Spurs being good and exciting and looking forward to games - but I've missed that since the end of the CL final (the looking forward bit, we haven't been good or exciting for 18 months).

I'd be well in favour of voiding the season and one of the main reasons would be the terrible impact of VAR, which has not only ruined the game, but led to multiple nonsense results for loads of clubs this season - see us away to Leicester with Son's goal, a game we would've easily won had that not been disallowed, and Sheffield United's goal against us, which would've given them a deserved away victory. It's been a joke and the sooner we banish VAR (or at least the way it's currently used) the better.

What I absolutely don't miss is the over-inflated drama of football in general. I don't miss Sky Sports. I don't miss Jamie Redknapp, Carragher, Tyler, Smith, Merson or any of those other ****s. Jeff Stelling is the only thing I miss from football coverage. I don't miss reading about football in the papers (although I have just recently signed up to The Athletic like a proper football hipster and it's been great to read actual objective and talented football journalism on there).

In a funny way it would be quite interesting if the football industry completely collapsed as a result of this virus. Awful for fans, staff, non-league clubs etc. Don't get me wrong I don't want to see it actually happen. I just have a bit of a fetish over the image of all of the thousands of footballers suddenly jobless, with no skills, on the dole queue and not being worshipped by millions because they can kick a ball about. All the ****s like Carragher suddenly stripped of everything that defines them. Love to see some of the arrogance in football suddenly destroyed overnight. I'd love to see what effect it would have on everyone involved if football just ceased to be in six months time.

Haven’t missed it one bit and in fact i feel much happier about it being gone. I hate that I get so bothered about a load of guys earning a small fortune as a result of me and a load of other saps paying ridiculous sums of hard earned money to watch them play. The over hype of sky pundits, constant negative stories about our club and then the invention of social media have really really dragged the sport I’ve loved since I was old enough to kick a ball in to the gutter. As far as I’m concerned I hope this season keeps getting postponed until next year by which time I would hopefully have been able to break the cycle and leave it alone for good.

I’ll come back when we get good again though:cautious:

Not really. Not so much because of how shit we are, but becuase the situation we're in is so grave. Football just doesn't matter to me right now. I did miss CL for a bit, but at his point I barely now which day of the week it is, so Idon't really care anymore.

Haven't missed it one bit. Less and less interested in football now that it's essentially being turned into a weekly soap opera by SKY, BT etc.

"3 points in this lunchtime kick off for 2nd placed Spurs will put the pressure on leaders Chelsea" we battered Watford 4-0 which was the 14th straight win at home in all competitions. I miss those days. It jad the highlights on the spurs website
