"Tottenham Hotspur are going to sign the German midfielder Patrick Herrmann from Borussia Mönchengladbach for £7.5m. He'll join Kasey Keller in the section where Tottenham and North Rhine-Westphalia overlap on this Venn diagram we've just started drawing. It's not a particularly interesting Venn diagram so far, tell the truth. Let's add another circle: All London. We can add Allan Simonsen to it now, providing he doesn't go in the Spurs bit. There, that's better."

I cant believe i havent read 'Herrmann the German to Spurs" in the tabloids yet!

Sort of player we should be looking at to bring in. Young and obviously ok from his appearances in the various International teams. Scored more goals already than our footie genius managed in his whole career :).

Uh oh.... it's starting again...

Hope this is part of our exploitation of Freund's contacts book.

Must be honest when I say I'm not too familiar with him.

Most of what I read states he's best as a winger on the right, but could be more of an attacking midfielder. Said his crosses are exceptional and he's known to go on good runs.

Anyone privy to more information on the little fella?

He's being called the next Marco Reus, a big compliment. Plays on the right, which is a position where we need more quality and depth.

That is a massive complement. Let's hope we can snap him up.

I don't know why, but I am really worried about us trying to sign Isco and missing out on some other players who have as much potential this January.
