You have to wonder why a Burnley player didn't just hack him down and take a card for the team. Glad they didn't as it was a truly fantastic goal.

I know what you mean but I really hate that side of football the professional foul and we seen what happened in the Everton game when it goes wrong.

It did seem overly generous of them, but watching it again, there is always another Burnley player ahead of any one of them who had the opportunity to hack him down, someone else who was also closing in on Son, right until the final burst of pace which took him into the penalty area when it was too late. So at no point did any Burnley player think if I don't take him out right now he is home free.

Theres a difference, what happened in th Everton game was fueled by a perceived injustice or retaliation. I'm not saying that makes it right. What you are saying about the proffesional foul though, I agree and it winds me up when commentators or panelists suggest that its something thats required or 'taking one for the team' is 'part of the game'. It infuriates me.
