Hugo Lloris has said he's unsure about his future with Spurs but stressed he has three years left on contract.

Sigh... I really really hope we can keep him. I know we will continue to lose our best players whilst out of top 4, but this is one of those instances when we should try and retain his services. Its so hard finding a decent keeper and keeping stability at the back.

That bit of ITK that came in from Jasper in the RO says 2 years. I would ahve thought he was signed on a 4 year contract, so yeah. i am sure it is 2 left.

Why would you be sure of that? I'm sure Lloris knows his contract situation more than Jasper or anyone else.

Nah, mate. Jasper says he has 2 left and his house is for sale. Sucks, but Hugo has no idea what he's talking about.

I think the uncertainty is more that he hasnt spoken to Poch yet, obviously he needs to know hes going to be no1 before he makes any decisions either way. I'm not seeing enough smoke to be getting worried just yet.

In all honesty he wasn't champing at the bit to come to us, Lyon had to sell and he accepted the situation but I'd guess every reason anyone gave him for not coming to us has been borne out over the last two years so why should he believe anything will change over the next two?

He left because he wanted to challenge himself in a better league. If he goes I find it really hard to belive that he would go to AS Monaco, also because they are apparently close to signing that Mexican goalkeeper who was great at the WC.

I can only see Lloris leaving for a really good team, he doesn't seem like the guy who would sign for a team just for the money. If Real Madrid or Juventus decides to get a new keeper, then I would be worried.

He came through the Nice academy and they are big rivals with Monaco IIRC, so I doubt he would go there and for the umpteenth time, he's said he doesn't want to go back to Ligue 1

I reckon so. That sounds like what we usually do on some contracts.

I suspect he will want a new one soon and if we are in negotiations with him, with the new tv money, we should pay him a reasonable wage.

Maybe he's just waiting to see if any bigger clubs are interested before signing a new contract. As long as he doesn't start to skip training or cry in media it's ok. I almost think he deserves leaving after being humiliated against the big teams over and over again.
